I’m not gonna lie, when I listen to The World Looks Red, I picture the entirety of Hell, and not just Violence. It just screams suffering, and honestly it works for almost every circle. I always picture a soul burning and screaming for forgiveness or mercy, this might be one of the best songs in the whole game

An anthem of agony, a true depiction of the art of violence itself.

To me, the difference between the portrayal of tragedy in The World Looks Red and War Without Reason despite being in the same thematic setting is shocking and a perfect showcase of Hakita's skills as a composer. Here, the violin is a very personal scream. It feels as though the Harpies are clawing out from their prisons, yelling out to the player to grace them with death. But their savior is a grim version of what a hero should be. There is no justice, only violence and death. In War Without Reason, the guitar in the final section of the song is also a scream. Yet, it's more akin to a cacophony of screams; a reflection on humanity's idiotic and pained war that bestowed upon its victims nothing but violence for no just reason. god I love ultrakill

Sands Of Tide/WAR's leitmotif felt like accepting the loss but still fighting against it; maybe you can avoid it, right? Glory's leitmotif felt like reminiscing the past... well... glory that you lost. Requiem/ORDER's leitmotif felt like being one step away from regaining everything you lost. War Without Reason's leitmotif feels like trying to contain that before it gets taken away again. But this? This feels like you're *never* getting it back. You failed. And the worst part? *You know you lost your chance*

Why does his "WHYYYYY" sound like Minos Prime dying?

The World Looks Red is the first song EVER that's made me shed a tear, especially knowing the context of it.

I love how different this song is from most ultrakill songs. A lot of the songs mix many instruments together make HEAT, but out of nowhere, 40-ish seconds into this song, this ABSOLUTE POWERHOUSE of a chello(?) just takes centerstage with this terrifyingly desperate melody. LOVE IT.

I don't know why, but The World Looks Red gives me a mental image of a dying animal desperately thrashing on the ground

I like the overall theme of light up the night better, the layout of the level combined with Hear! The siren call of death is way different then other levels, which are mostly linear
