My girlfriend is back at the hot tent. She's the love of my life and I never pass up an opportunity to have her at the hot tent. She's learning more about wood: sawing and cutting. She's also learning how to beat me at Scrabble. She's cute and fun and smart and she makes this adventure 1 of a kind.

I love the tent, but we bought a travel trailer so my wife would join me as the tent life was not for her. This summer we will get out into the outdoors and enjoy this beautiful country of ours. Lanski sharpeners are awesome Jay. Have had mine for 25 plus years now. Sharpen my hunting knives at 20 degrees. Can shave with them. Great to see Crystal out. Nice video. The ovens nearly as big as the stove. Cheers

Yep, the Lanski kit is pretty good, I must say. I need to use it more. I had a rough edge on that axe and it was a cinch to even out with the file.

That chicken dinner plate was some first rate stuff. The gravy looked so good I'm salivating at 9 am. Nice to have weather that makes a trip out for Crystal comfortable and still cold enough to ride across the lake. Nice little stove too, thanks for the review. Insider hint: Next time sharpen the axe BEFORE you let the lady chop wood. ;-)

Well, Crystal has a sense of humor. She reminds me of ERIC from I DO CARS. You showed the thermometer at 30 C....well my wife and I went camping for Easter and it was cool but it really heated up during the week. I was off for the week and all week and this weekend it was close to 30C. Then it all ended last evening.

Looks like a gas Jay. A tip for the next time you roast a chicken, break the skin on the breast and stick four thick squares of butter to help keep the breast moist, then shove two halves of an onion and half a lemon in the cavity. You won't regret it.

I keep visualizing using copper tubes laced through a chimney pipe which circulates hot air through the tent via heat radiation and those heat-activated stove fans. mainly want to capture as much lost heat via stovepipe as possible. spark any ideas?

Here’s a tip I learned for moving my 250 pound stove. Drill a hole in each of the rear legs, find a steel shaft that fits through the holes a d a set of wheels that fit the shaft. When you want to move the stove, disconnect the pipe, jack up the rear of the stove then slide the axle through, put on the wheels and you can roll it around yourself by lifting the front of the stove.
