I'm proud to share that skydiving has been checked off my list. 😊 I think the more terrified you are leaving the plane, the more beautiful the descent is! Breathtaking and absolutely unforgettable! (I recommend a tandem jump, where you freefall from 10K feet with a jump master strapped to your back. I liked it best after the 'chute opened but, if you're going to skydive, you might as well get the whole experience.)

I love this- my children also lost their dad to a car accident January 1- 2022… at ages 14 & 20- so it’s been a struggle as the parent “left behind” to try to keep him “alive” but also give space for the deep grieving that must occur. Their dad was depressed before passing and therefore never got up to visit my eldest at college in mpls where he goes for art at MCAD- and…. My children weren’t ready to be open to their dad showing up yet. (Although I made it entirely clear in my own conversations w their dad that this WAS STILL a coparent journey and that I fully EXPECTED/(demanded) he show up for them still to assist w this process) Well- he did although I’m unsure if “they” see it like that… instead of taking time off school my eldest began processing his grief via a compilation of comics depicting his adventures w dad but also the painful moments of grief and dispair on his journey. He has compiled this into a graphic novel called “duck calls” that he recently received a scholarship from by a son of an artist that lost his own dad at a young age…. It’s his senior year this year - he’s doing an internship over the summer w a published artist and the graphic novel will be his senior thesis project with the hopes to be published. Along with what I feel is his dad “showing up “ to be with him at school after all of this- the kids that have read portions of the graphic novel printed already have written my son about how seeing the raw - real - hearwrenching stages of grief in that format (comic style) from a real person with real experiences has really “given them permission “ to deeply process their own grief …. Which is such a beautiful thing to arise from the vulnerability of spilling ones soul. And for my kids- to have their dad memorialized in a way that assists others with the anguish of loss and addresses the topics of depression openly is such a tribute to their dad….. so I’m so excited to see how this beautiful author has felt that her dad is with her on this journey… I’m so glad she is able to look back and be comfortable with her knowing that her dad is still on this journey with her. My own parents have passed and I couldn’t imagine not knowing that- but I got time with them…. My biggest heart wish is that the kiddos dad is able to be a part of their lives still and that they are able to embrace that. This interview- on the weekend of their 2nd Father’s Day without him gives me ALOT of hope that they too will find that place that I’m so happy this beautiful soul did. Can’t wait to get the book- I won’t force them to read it (but I def will) but I’ll put it in the shelf and let them know it’s a beautiful example of how another kiddo memorialized their “dadd-o” and I have confidence that they’ll pick it up! The younger one- (also an Aries) … it may just be in her wheelhouse to go and do all the things her dad never got to- THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS NOW and happy Father’s Day to Mick- Mike- Chris (the kiddos dad) and Curt! (Mine)🙌

My granddaughter lost her mother a month before her sixth birthday. She has internalized a lot of trauma and has developed a lot of fear in living her life. It has been hard teaching her to ride a bike, swimming, playing any sports. She was in therapy but it did not seem to be helping. She lives with my husband and I and it has been very hard because I want to do the right things for her.😢

Woww when Laura said her friend did not feel a thing when she had her accident, a friend of mine said the same thing. Also when my baby brother passed that same week in the curve where he passed, I had a big shiver up my neck when I passed that curve twice that same week and told my friend something is going to happen here and it's either my brother or my then husband. The same day and time my brother passed I was working in my flower bed and felt a great peace that is the moment I knew whatever was suppose to happen just did. A few hours later the cops came over to announce the bad news. Now years later I think he was sending me a message that he was ok.

I wish I knew what to do for my Granddaughter. She lost her Dad when she was 7. I try keeping his memory alive with pictures and stories. I just hope she will be ok.

Record stories about her dad, so she can have a memory of you, too.

What a truly lovely lady whose love for her daddy just surrounds her. I'm sure he felt blessed to have her and her brother for the time he did. I imagine he didn't want to leave them so soon but I also believe he never truly left them. Such a gentle soul she seems to be. Sending her love from Northern Ireland. 💚☘️🇮🇪🙏

It really helps to mention the name of the book three times, as maybe it was obvious but I missed it! Thanks so much for choosing this. Last night I met someone who is dying & doing her bucket list. Ok, ok! I’m starting mine now. Thank you both! ❤️☺️

I don't have a bucket list. I'm 63 and there's nothing left that I feel I need or want to do or accomplish before I "graduate" to the next phase of existence. I'm ready to go whenever my time comes. I have no partner, no kids - nothing to tie me here.

I was 10 when my mother and stepfather died together in a car accident. Talk about trauma. My father died when I was only 7 from a gunshot wound. Family problems and lots of trauma from birth to age 10. Don't even get me started on being a teenager.
