My Father's Shoes (A Father's Day Song)
portrays the story of a man looking back on his childhood and adolescence, remembering how his father loved him despite the mistakes he made.
And as he looked back on his father's love, he sees how much God the Father loves him.

I see a child walking up to a closet
He pulls out his daddy's clothes one by one
It doesn't matter if he swims in them
For they belong to the one he loves
First the shirt that hangs down to his knees
He puts a million folds in his trousers
Hat on his head and tie round the neck

Story behind this piece:
I worked in a childcare in New Zealand many years ago. It was very enjoyable and rewarding to see the kids grow and play. Twice a week we would have all the kids in the dress-up room playing with oversized clothes. Years later the memories inspired me to write this piece.
