If anyone is going to be using a store bought curry paste, I HIGHLY recommend you get the Mae Ploy brand. It's more authentic and tastes so much more like the real thing. It can be found in most asian grocery stores and there's many different flavors to choose from
I agree! That's why I had to add my chili sauce, garlic and all in this recipe to pump up the flavor. Only reason I used this brand, so people don't have to drive 15 hours to Asian grocery store but I guess it's kinda pointless if they don't have kaffir lime leaf... 🤷🏻♀️
lady4real75 From my experience, I’ve found that the green curry paste is the spiciest but you don’t need much and you can always add a little at a time until the flavor is right for you
Thank you for cooking with humor and being very clear about the ingredients. As an American, knowing what can work when the more authentic ingredients aren't available is a real boon. Thank you for many hours of great instruction and wonderful food!
You are my fav...I made your Korean fried chicken with your red sauce OFF THE HOOK my husband fell in love with it and insist that I put it in rotation on our menu...Lololol..will be making this this weekend...thanks my new found friemd
I went to a Thai restaurant while on vacation. And I ate this for 4 days straight. I was literally so obsessed that I wanted to prepare it at home.. But I didn't know how.. BUT NOW I KNOW! Thank you so much Flower Pig, you just literally saved my life. 😊😂

Wow i dearly love Thai food and the peppers so i cooked this just now. It is delicious and very spicy the way i like it. I spent two years in Thailand several years ago and i miss the Country as well as the Thai people. If i could i would live in your Country for the rest of my life. Such beautiful people and great food. My favorite dish is pot prik by capow. I problhly didn't spell it right but its chopped up beef with green beans and lots of green Thai peppers along with Thai basil and lots of garlic. Thank you young lady.
Im in love with your channel. I didnt do much cooking with my grandma when she was around so I never learned to cook much asian food, so thank you so much for doing this! My brother an I are super excited to try some of your recipes!
I just love your videos and recipes! Your positive attitude and awesome smile are contagious! So glad I found your channel a little over a year ago. Such an inspiration! 💓🍜
I just wanted to say, I made this a while back, it was amazing. I didn't realize how amazing until I tried to have it from a local place. This version was so much more flavorful, the meat was much more tender. If i'd ever had the restaurant version first I'd have never tried to make this one as I'd not have 'liked it'.
I probably eat this dish once every two weeks (in a restaurant called ข้าวผัดกุ้ง in ราชบุรี) It is UNBELIEVABLE how tasty this dish is. You have to add a fried egg on top though! Great execution, truly you're a good cook.
Just tried your wonton recipe yesterday and it was the best ! Definitely gonna try this one next =D Your recipe and tips always works and taste super good

I just made this and it came out delicious, thank you! Is there an easy way to break down palm sugar? I hammered with end of knife and then broke it down more once I added. Thank you for sharing your recipe. The ribeye was so tender.... YUM!
It already made me hungry, and then the music starts, and somehow, that made me want to cook it even more. Guess I'm going to the international grocery store tomorrow for ingredients.
YESSSS ALL the curry paste from scratch please! Also can you PLEASE make a video how to make more sauces from scratch like gochujang, etc? THANK YOU for another great video!!!
i love this recipe ! my mom used to make it all the time and now i can make it for her~ i think she and my ยาย normally use the Mae Ploy brand curry paste, but i’m sure it’ll be easy to adjust ☺️ excited to make a family favorite !!
Great recipe, I’m going to give this a go with chicken thighs. Pad Prik Khing is also my favourite Thai dish, but I usually have it with crispy pork belly!
I LOVE PAD PRIK KING! ...AMD THANKS TO YOU, I KNOW HOW TO MAKE THAT GOOD FOOD!!! AGAIN, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Sorry for yelling...lol. but yes, that is SOOOOO good.
Hi, love your videos. You're always inspiring 😍😍😍👍👍👍 Your Thai dish name correctly is: pad prik Tua. King in Thai means: ginger 😅 and we eat our food traditionally with spoon and fork. If we use just one item then it is for sure the spoon.
Hi Seonkgyoung! I tried your Hot and sour soup and and bao recipes! They turned out amazing, considering it was the first time properly cooked by myself! This looks great, I’ll give it a try using chicken. Just a suggestion: could you please start a budget-friendly series for university/ college students😫 Some recipes that are quick or can be pre-prepared and stored for a few days for us busy, tired (and lazy) kids?!😂 Thank you so much! You look gorgeous by the way.
"I just want to chew, chew, swallow, swallow that breathing is just waste of time"lol. That's why i really like u alot. There is no such time watching without salivating
