Breaking down my favorite play calls from new Pittsburgh Steelers OC in his first preseason with the team. #Steelers #All22 #Football #ArthurSmith #SteelersDepot Check out more at Steelersdepot.com.
I like how he runs different concepts out of the same formation. Thatll keep defenses honest for the most part. Actually refreshing when youre not seeing 4 verts at the 5.
@@Alex_Kozora*Alex!! Ole buddy. So my question to you is this. Love for you to give a detailed answer. Lol. Might take ya 5mins but I want your insight* *Explain the differences between the Arthur Smith Offense vs Shannahan/McVay Offense ?? And what about the Lions Ben Johnson, Texans Bobby Slowick, and Ravens Todd Monken Offensive System ?? By the way for what it's worth 🤔 PFF has Arthur Smith as the #5 ranked Playcaller or OC in the NFL!!*
@@Alex_Kozora*Basically I just like you to compare and contrast, explain the differences and similarities with all those Offensive systems in Pittsburgh vs Niners, Rams, Detroit, Houston, and Baltimore*
@@natetewkesbury I really hadn't studied those offenses like the others. But McVay, for example, is very 11 personnel/3 WR heavy. Smith is a 12/21 personnel, TE/FB heavy offense.
@@Alex_Kozora *Well what Offenses have you studied ?? And what does the Alex Kozora Offense look like ?? As in your approach, scheme, day 1 installs? Are you Shotgun or Under Center? Zone run game or Gap? 11 personnel or 12 personnel? What is the Kozora "Base Offense" ?????*
The Steelers players now believe the other team doesn’t know our plays. That’s a win by itself! Imagine knowing the other guys knows that you know he knows what you’re doing.
It Really doesn't matter if the other team knows what you're going to do as much as can they stop it. Against Baltimore back in 2016-17 Ben ran the same play against the Ravens over and over and over again but because they couldn't stop it it didn't matter. The ONLY Reason why a OC Schemes is when he doesn't have the personell to Win 1 on 1s. There are No New Plays.. Just different window dressings.
@@JAMESJJEFFERS*Wow. Okay now I understand and my reply to you earlier is very much relevant. Yea buddy. You have a shit ton to learn with the game of football. Lmao*
@@natetewkesbury Bro I probably forgot more Ball then you played 😂😂😂 A Nerds View isn't a Players View. This is why they made Math Classes and Sports. 😂 The Problem comes when you guys write DUMB stuff and THINK that's a view point of the Sport But It Isn't 😂😂😂 Then you Double Down on Dumb Stuff as if that makes it relevant. It doesn't 😂
Not only are there options the offense is not predictable like it seemed to be under Canada. The plays are well designed and it's only a matter of execution.
Good video alex! I want to see more middle pf the field throws being completed this year. Passing chart these last few years have been entirely too outside the numbers. We want to make defenses respect the pass, because they know the run game will be an emphasis this year.
I like what I’ve seen thus far as well. The key, though, will be how things happen. Once the big boy pants are put on, and it counts. So far, though, not bad at the very least a step up from what we had seen for the previous 2 & 3/4 years.
No offense (no pun intended) but if the preseason offense was any indicator of how this team is going to play both schematically and execution wise, we screwed. But I expect that the preseason was more of a roster test than a scheme test which is why I’m not so concerned
Great job as usual. Interesting at 12:15 how you call Heyward's block 'good' and JT O'Sullivan spends significant time wondering if it's bad or a mistake. It really is impossible to say without knowing how the play was actually coached.
I get that. Often, that EMOL defender is unblocked. We'll have to keep watching. But until told/shown otherwise, I'll assume it was executed as called. There are concepts that run it this way.
Ehh idk about that. People forget kirk and most of Atlanta starters didn't play at all in the preseason with each other. It'll take them some time to get going
*I expect 12 personnel to be the "Base Personnel" package. A ton of 13/21/22 as well. Maybe even some "Pony" But Alex and I both know, that 11 personnel will very much be used every week. Prolly the 2nd most used personnel by seasons end*
