Katie I just want to say, your booktube has been one of my highlights of 2022. I am so happy I discovered your videos (thanks to Haley Pham 😍). Your videos are the epitome of coziness and I cannot thank you enough for being such an escapism for me this year ❤❤
You are my biggest discovery of this year and definitely became my favourite book blogger! Thank you so mush for bringing joy to my life with every single video 🥰
Absolutely loved this!! (title is iconic) I just found your channel this year and can honestly say you’re videos are genuinely so entertaining to watch✨☺️
I love watching these kinds of videos! It’s so fun to see my favorite book tubers’ favorite books of the year! Some of my top books this year were in trilogies such as: The Folk of the Air, The Inheritance Games, Infernal Devices, Empirium, and the Once Upon a Broken Heart duo-logy! My favorite thriller was Lock Every Door and my favorite romance book was Every Summer After!
I’m excited to read some of the books you mentioned next year! Mostly Strange the Dreamer because I’ve owned it for so long 😅 Love this video as always and I hope you find even more favorites in the new year 💙
This year "A Court of Silver Flames" became the best book for me, I also really liked "A Court of Wings and Ruin", but the last book in this series so overshadowed for me everything that I even forgot about other books😅 and I die as I want continuation😩 Also, thanks to you, I continued to read the "Shine" series, for which I thank you very much, because I also really fell in love with this series💖 My top also includes the books "Castle in the Clouds", "Song of the Forever Rains" (by the way, I also highly recommend), "The Hypothesis of Love" and "Tryst Six Venom"🥰
Agreed - ACOMAF is the best book, and the 3rd one comes next for me! Then nestas book. Love the plated prisoner series too and agreed on the first book.
unpopular opinion but ACOWAR is my fave out of the main trilogy and it might because I’m obsessed with Cassian and Nesta more than Feyre and Rhysand. So many iconic scenes and the battle with hybern happened in ACOWAR and it was so much more action packed and fun than the others in the first three books. I can’t wait to read ACOSF for Nessian (the best couple).
@@dinamohamed8518 lmfaoo no your fine lol i’m not the hugest fan of them either like i really do enjoy feyre and rhysand but i’m not wowed by their romance like everyone else
The time of the year when I'm reminded how long the year actually was, I feel like it's crazy that you read acomaf in 2022 lol For me, my faves are series: shades of magic, green creek, big bad wolf series. I just get so attached to the characters and I absolutely love reading multiple books about them, so every book in a series I love ends up being 5 star for me!
My favorite book I read this year is definitely Daughter Of The Deep by Rick Riordan! I've read tons of Rick Riordan's books (mostly Percy Jackson), but Daughter Of The Deep was the first book I've ever read that is so good to the point where I really think it should be made into a movie! I literally can't even describe how good it is, but I highly recommend!
I had so many good reads this year, my favorites have to be To kill a mockingbird, A good girls guide to murder, Strange the dreamer, kingdom of the wicked, Seven husbands of Evelyn hugo, Six of crows and A man called Ove. A very good reading year!! Also I was guessing to see if I know which book will come next and I was right for most of them, like I knew that SpyXfamily is your favorite manga this year and I definitely knew that Vampire academy, Kingdom of the wicked, strange the dreamer and Twilight were definitely in your list.
I read it this year & absolutely loved it!! One of my favorite books ever & has made me want to dive into more classics plus just overall make me more confident in reading them 😂
sorcery of thorns was one of my absolute favorite fantasy books this year (other than rereads obviously) because of the pacing and the cast of characters and I just had a really good time reading it. ACOMAF was also really good as well as strange the dreamer. oh wait now I don't know. kingdom of the wicked was also good. ahh I can't choose!
Dracula was my favorite book of the year along with The Song of Achilles 😊 I loved it so much & read it in part because of your vlogs & Gavin’s vlog lol. It’s definitely worthy of the title “classic”.
You need to read Throne of the Fallen (it goes with the Kingdom of the Wicked books). It is so good. I thought it was better the the first 3. But its the start of a new series about the brothers. Note: that is if you haven't read it yet. I am still working on getting all your videos watched.
Bc you love vampires, you should try house of the night series by P. C. Cast. Its a really bad vampire series but really entertaining. I think it has about 12 books, but i’ve only read like 3.
For me, it was The Charm Offensive and many other, my best books of 2022 are already up, was Strange the Dreamer on this list?? I did not hear you mention it at all??? But you have some great books, I want to read some of these soon...
I really enjoyed this video and now it has enhanced my list of books I want to read ❤. One of my favorite books that I’ve read last year was “the Un-life of William Moore” by Dana Lockhart. This book was amazing and rather enjoyable to read because I was really able to imagine the story unfold, and I typically have a hard time with imagining the story when reading books 😭. I think my favorite aspect of this book specifically was of course the storyline of a vampire 😅 but the platonic love between a human and a vampire. You don’t see that too often in vampire books because they are often based off of romance. Although the two characters in the book don’t show romantic interest, it still is interesting how the author strays away from the “typical” love story of vampires and humans ☺️
My top 1 favorite for this year which I just recently read during Christmas eve was Tis The Season For Revenge by Morgan Elizabeth. It's a romcom, I felt mixed emotions while I was reading it. Though I was done reading it, I don't know why I cried about that book last night. Maybe because I felt that the book is made for me. 🤧
I was worried strange the dreamer wasn't going to be in your tops because I saw it in the background and then you pulled out the other copy. I had forgotten that you read the other cover version
there was absolutely no way it was not going to be on this list haha! i actually now own three different copies of it and i’m not mad about that

I'm currently rereading A Court of Mist and Fury and I agree it's much better than ACOTAR. I hope I can get to A Court of Silver Flames soon, I've heard so many great things about it!
My favorite book was forging silver into stars, it was so much better than the curse so dark and lonely trilogy! I’ve been wanting to start the plated prisoner series but it isn’t at my library 😒
i still need to read something by brigid kemmerer myself, so glad you enjoyed foreign silver into stars! also that sucks :/ personally i got a free trial of kindle unlimited so i could read them on there if that’s something you’d be interested in!
Personally I love ACOWAR the most in the series. But that’s because I love politics and war rather than the romance. (I also loved plated prisoner series)
that’s a valid point! i love the romance way more than the politics in this series so that’s why acowar was a bit disappointing for me, but i’m so glad you love it!
Alright... I think I'm gonna resume reading the True blood series now 🤣 That I started ~10 years ago, when in my 20s and way into the vampire fiction thing!!! Along with the Vampire Diaries series that was airing at that time and all my female friends AND male friends were watching !!! 😂❤
so technically you don’t have to read caraval first but i think it’s beneficial, a few things are explained in caraval that are good to know when reading ouabh!
I'm not her but for me it works following instagram and youtube book accs. As for which ones are good, see reviews, go with creators with similar taste or ones you trust
Some of my favourites of this year: Clockwork angel Clockwork prince Clockwork princess Chain of gold Court of mist and fury The Raven boys Cinder Empire of storms Kingdom of ash Strange the dreamer And also Spy X Family and Demon slayer manga.
I have to slightly disagree with Acomaf being the best in the series. Acosf is definitely number one for me. I’d have to say because of the mental health aspect and the sexual tension. Acomaf is definitely a close second, then acotar, acowar, and we can all agree acofas is horrible lol.
Kate, your energy is contagious! If you like a vampire love story, I finally wrote my first novel, which is a gay vampire love story :-) it’s called “Decimus: The Vampires Curse” You also seem like you might have been a PLL fan, and appreciate my role on that! ~Trav
Vampire academy was my fave in high school but I couldn’t really get into the second series because I couldn’t connect with the new characters as much much also don’t watch the movie it’s so bad lol
the whole ACOTAR series is overrated and Mist and Fury didn't live up to the hype for me. I remember only the 50 last pages made me want to read the next books. Otherwise meh, I was bored and annoyed.
Absolutely loved this!! (title is iconic) I just found your channel this year and can honestly say you’re videos are genuinely so entertaining to watch✨☺️
