My Favorite Catfish Rig 

I've been asked to do a demonstration video on how to tie my catfish rig. I use this rig because of it's simplicity. By eliminating the swivels, it takes less time to rig up and saves money in the long run. I know some of you are wondering if my line twists up without a barrel swivel, but believe it or not, it doesn't. Maybe it's because I use braided line. If I'm fishing heavy cover, I'll tie a simple overhand knot on the weight. This way if the weight gets stuck I can pull on the line and undo the knot. Sometimes the leader knot will pull tight to the hook when I do this, but I simply retie the leader and add a new weight.
