I agree the music is not needed. Trying to concentrate on recipe and instructions and the music is distracting. Love that you’ve joined the RU-vid family.
I agree. Maybe some music at the beginning to get the video started, and then at the very end. But not all the way through. But I love cooking videos. You are doing a great job!
Loved the show! You’re a natural on camera (not your first rodeo, I know) great job, the recipe looked amazing and you made it look easy! Congratulations!
Zach, you have a really nice onscreen presence. The show has the feel of Ina Garden’s cooking shows. Very relaxed and pleasing! I would love to see your show on The Food Network, I’m not kidding.
You were made for this Zach! I hardly cook, don't really enjoy it, but you've inspired me to give it more of a chance and follow your instructions. I really enjoyed the video 🎉
I may be in the minority but I didn’t have an issue with the music! Appreciated that you specified that this was an americanised version, so many helpful little tips along the way like sweating the garlic. Keen to give this a go!
No issue with the music here either. You did a great video and I made this for my family tonight. Wonderful dish that I will make again. Thank you for putting this out there for us!
I did find the repetition of the music a bit "crazy-making" but mostly here to say I loved the tips, like thickening with pasta water and the corn starch in the flour to help make them more golden and crispy... Thanks
When the Stew crew announced you would be doing this, I couldn’t wait. Yall always have great meals together, thank you for sharing so we could have amazing meals too!
I didn't even know u had ur cooking channel coming out till i heard Evan & Carlin were telling us on their youtube channel i am subscribed to theirs & now urs zach & all ur siblings love y'all
@@ThebateskitchenHey Zach, Congratulations!🎉x5 ( Your Mom ) reminded me about your Channel Starting Today over on her Facebook Page several days ago. ❤x5 tammy/tim
LOVE IT! Finally someone that dont try to be something their not. I love you show all the steps & give tips. And your not afraid to use your hands in it all. To many people on RU-vid try use all these gadgets that's most of us don't have. I can't wait to see more 😊 god bless you & your lovely family
So glad that Carlin's channel mentioned this or I would not have known. I am going to use your videos to teach our five daughters cooking during homeschooling. Our daughters aren't allowed to watch youtube, but this will be an exception since I won't have to be concerned with what they might see, and I won't have to prescreen it. Thanks for this!
Pro Chef here ✌ Excellent job❤ Love your videos! Just extra knowledge if you don't already know, but you can toast dry spices in the pan to bring out more flavor 👍 Also, can pinch the bigger ones to release their oils to impart more flavor, just like toasting them in a pan. Basil, you can stack the leaves on top of one another and roll them lengthwise, then slice thinly, its called a Chiffonade. You certainly dont need anyones help but for me its fun to learn or remember little tid bits! That meal made my tummy gurgle time for an unplanned midnight snack, thanks, Zach😂
Ideas for the future …. Bring in your wife or kids or friends to taste test. I bet fans would like to see you cooking for a bunch of law enforcement officers as well at their station or at a firehouse. I like the pots and pans you used, those were great quality. Nice kitchen too! Nice knife work. Nice plating and presentation. Nice clear camera work! Again I could see you with a cooking show on Food Network.
We used this video as inspiration for supper tonight! We made our own pasta noodles for the first time ever. And we made your sauce recipe. We grilled our chicken instead of panko. It was a hit! My 15 year old said it was the best chicken Alfredo he’s ever had. We will definitely be making this again. Thanks for sharing this yummy recipe!
We’re so proud of you and your family Zach! So happy to see you on here, finally. Lol You’re the best big brother and husband. You’re always there for your family. This video was great. Bless you all. Keep going guys! 🎉😊❤
What a hit you have created!!! Your are very professional!!! I watched you grow up on the show and love your family. I grew up in Clinton and I am so proud of living so close to you all. Your parents taught all of you well and every one of the children is successful!! I look forward to more great recipes!!!
can I just say how much I thoroughly enjoyed your first cooking video. Looking forward to watching many more. You are a real natural and it's easy to understand what you are saying and doing, Thankyou from a fan in New Zealand.
Your recipe looks absolutely delicious! At age 71 I don't do that much cooking anymore because it's just me now that my husband has gone home with the Lord. But this one looks easy enough to try if I'm having company. Your video channel looks very professional! I'm on my way to watch the next one now!
Thank you Zack that looks scrumptious it looks delicious and thank you I love watching you cook I love your family and I'm a sister in Christ this is Mona 68 in clintonville Wisconsin same God bless you and your family shalom 🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹
You do an amazing job, Zach, explaining and teaching how to make this dish. So many great, practical tips! Can't wait for more videos!! You're such a natural!!
I am new to your channel. Someone specifically recommended you because I was saying I missed the classic cooking shows on Food Network. They were so relaxing, not rushed and sped up like social media clips and they always cooked something you'd actually want to make at home. They were right, you are relaxing. I just wanted to put my two cents in along with the other commenters who said it would be amazing without music. It's hard to concentrate with music and talking at the same time. But other than that, it does remind me of cooking shows which are sorely missed!
Thanks for this recipe! Pasta is always one of my favorite meals and I will definitely have to make this. You give really good instructions that are easy to follow. And, you don't use all of those foo-foo ingredients that are expensive and hard to find. So glad that I found you on RU-vid! 😊
Watching this at midnight, now I want to go make this dish. Love all the special touches you add. When you put the fresh Basil on the top as you plated it, reminds me of how Paula Deen would add a fresh herb at the end, then say “gotta have a vegetable!” Blessings from middle Tennessee.
I've been waiting for this! Thanks and I agree, adjust the volume or eliminate it all together. Your calming voice makes what looks like a tough dish to make seem easy AND enjoyable. Not all of us like to cook and only do it out of necessity. This video makes me want to get in there and try. I can't wait for the next one.
Thanks so much for the honest feedback! One thing that makes a cooking experience more enjoyable for me is having things set out in order, and ingredients prepped before you start things cooking. Looking for utensils or ingredients while things burn or trying to chop vegetables and herbs while other parts are cooking can add stress, and take away from the experience! It doesn’t always work out like that for me but it’s great when I take the time and it does!
It has finally cooled enough here in Northern Michigan to try this recipe. I can’t wait just watching this made me so hungry Thank you Zach. Good work.
Just started watching, so far loving this, you keep smiling is Whitney filming you. Love your kitchen. We just built a new home out in Sevierville, and we took the Granite up the walls a bit, and I love the look. Cost more but I shouldn't have to ever paint it. 😀 Good luck with your channel.
Throughly enjoyed your cooking video. Wonderful job! Very interesting and informative to watch. I have always thought you were a great big brother. Love your entire family! Looking forward to more. Thank you and may God continue to bless!
Really enjoyed the cooking. I agree with others that the music is not enjoyable throughout the entire video. But I'm sure you'll perfect the process in time. God bless you and your family.
Great video Zack. That chicken Parmesan looks amazing. I’m gonna have to try this one for my hubby. I’m sure he’ll love it. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida 😎🦩🌞🦩😎
Big fan of your family and now a big fan of your cooking show. Looks delicious. I wish the closed captions were working because I could not hear you clearly over the music.
Hey Zach, I used this as "inspiration" to make a Chicken Alfredo with some leftover French "Bresse Chicken". They are the Best chickens in the world... the only animal to have an AOP like wines... Google can explain... We bring them up from France when we come visit the grandkids here in Brussels. Thanks for the motivating simplicity...
Congrats on your new RU-vid channel. You look like a professional chef! Can’t wait to see more recipes. I have watched the Bates Family since the very beginning. Hopefully, we can get to catch up with your family as well.
Yes, the family in Italy uses fresh garlic, and fresh mushrooms we got from the forest over there. I learned quickly to be careful of the type, as some aren’t for eating…
Zach love ur cooking channel so glad carlin & evan told us about it no need for bk ground music its too loud ur voice is calming i've been watching ur family since bates of america then bringing up bates now all ur youtube channels love y'all my husband is italian i do all home cooking & baking he wouldn't marry me till i learn how to make pasta sauce right from tomatoes & homemade meatballs & italian sausage in the pasta sauce i learned from his family from italy he proposed 3x to me i finally said yes the 3rd time ..lol looking 4ward to more of ur cooking videos congrats on ur channel zach u will be a chef star for sure
Great video Zach. I agree with the other comments about no music. You have a great voice that is really easy to listen to. I loved it when you spoke about your life and family story while cooking. I hope you continue doing that. Can’t wait to watch more vlogs from you. Thanks for doing this.
Congrats on your first video! I have watched your family from the beginning, and think you have a wonderful family! As someone who has some hearing loss, along with tinnitus, it was hard at times to hear you over the music. Other than that I throughly enjoyed the video, and am looking forward to more!
Agree. I have the same issues with tinnitus/ minor hearing loss and in addition to the distracting music I would appreciate slowing down the rate of speaking and looking at the camera when speaking if possible . Food looks delicious!
I really enjoyed this. Zach you have such a nice teaching voice. My mouth was watering from the start. This recipe just made my grocery list this week. You plated the meal so lovely. Just subscribed.
Great video...glad you are sharing your passion. My only suggestion is to adjust or not have the music. It made it tricky to hear what you were sharing.
When I heard you were going to do this I was so looking forward to it, and let me tell you I was NOT disappointed. The dish looks delicious. I agree, though, with what others have said that your voice is quite pleasant so really the music is not necessary. I'm really looking forward to the next. Blessings to you and your family.
I'm so excited for the recipes and for you to be sharing your gift with us! I'd love to watch a video of how you make/store your fresh pasta. Thank you, and God bless you and your family!
Great video. Personal opinion - the background music interferes with hearing your voice. Either lower it or honestly, it’s not needed since you’re talking. Also, raise your voice or use a microphone on your shirt to hear better. Food looks great. Great instructional video as well.
Zac, I am soooo happy you are doing a cooking show. After watching you cook on the family, I get to see how you did it and will try it myself. Just a suggestion, if you turn the music down, I would be able to hear you better. I cannot wait until the next episode.
i was almost mad i didnt know about this channel and then i realized its fairly new lol.. i follow all the bates and always have! cant wait to watch these videos! i have to alter a lot of things i make to gluten, dairy, soy, egg free cuz of my kiddo but still cook normal food for us most days lol
This looks delicious. Im excited to try it Congratulations Zach...I do agree its hard to hear you with the music in the background otherwise Great video ❤
Congratulations on your new channel! Love following you on instagram & now here. Only let down is the music, sorry it’s a bit loud while you’re speaking! Happy Easter from New Zealand
You are a natural chef, this is comming from someone who loves to cook amazing food for my family. Great technique and good step by step instruction! Looking forward to more of your recipes 😊 the music going in the background is another good touch to your video.
I've been looking for you to start your cooking videos! I will definitely be making this. I did have a little trouble hearing you. Love your family very much!
Can’t wait to make this. Thank you for all the tips you added in as you cooked the meal. Never knew about the corn starch trick…you did a fantastic job for your first video 🎉 excited for more.
Congratulations! great presentation, you made it easy to follow the steps. I do agree there were times the music was distracting. Can't wait to see your next meal.
Absolutely! I’ve still got a lot to learn, both in the kitchen and on RU-vid, but we are definitely working on trying to incorporate everything that we can!
What a great first video!! Looking forward to many more. As for the music…you’ll find what works for you and what you’re wanting out of this channel, I have faith in ya Zach😉
Wow it looks delicious and you made it look so easy too. Love all the tips you shared. So very helpful. Awesome job!!! I’m a big fan of you and all your family!!! ❤❤❤
