I love the Melanin, NLS, and I have the Obia all thanks to you! I have not tried any of the Camille Rose, TreLuxe, or the as I am yet; I plan to try the TreLuxe (been eyeing it for a while). I love cream and butters over the gels because I don't like crunch and prefer the fluffy look. Besides I still hadn't gotten a wash and go down yet. I do have the Big Poppa gel but I prefer twist out. Another great video ❤
Love this video! It’s so wonderful when you’ve got your favorites on lock down. I’m down to 3 favorites. Definitely NLS Irish Moss Styling Cream. And 2 by Taliah Waajid; Curly Curl Cream, and the Curl Definer. I top off with Blue Magic hair grease and holding gel, then twist and forget it for 2 weeks. I do want to get at that Double Butter though! I’m an OG girl. ❤💕🥰
I don’t really use creams much but I do like She scent it banana pudding curl defining cream. I also like Bask & Bloom moisture cream. Also I wanted to let you know there are some new Texture ID products available at Sally’s. I haven’t heard anyone mention this in the NHC lol.
Thanks for sharing your favorite creams. I wasn't aware of any new products, but I did just go and look and I do see some low porosity products out there. Thanks for letting us know. 💛
I am loving this entire series. I love Obia Naturals twist whipped butter. You are right. It is very good. I also love the Qhemet Biologics cocoa tree detangle ghee and Curls dynasty twisted definition . I have the edenbodyworks creme but I have not tried it. i will before black Friday.
Thanks for tuning in and sharing your faves. I don't hear people talk about Curls Dynasty as much anymore, so appreciate you bringing them back to mind. 💛
@NaturalRaeRae no I actually just did a wash and go. I was short on time so I smoothed it in and keep moving. I can't wait to stock up on black friday!
I love Obia Naturals. I don’t use twist creams and butters much, I mostly wear wash and gos and a lot of creams are heavy/sit on top of my low porosity hair. But I love their twist whip butter, sweet almond heavy cream (which is lightweight! Closer to a food whipping cream than a heavy hair cream), curl moisture cream and their curl enhancing custard. I used to use Inahsi naturals years ago and really enjoyed it, but it's not stocked anywhere but their site, and they don't have many sales so I often forget about them in favor of other brands that have more consistent sales. I'll definitely need to circle back on them, they have a lot more in their lines now.
Yes, you took the words right out of my mouth when it comes to Obia. Their creams are lightweight and they perform well on my lo-po hair, too. Thanks for sharing your experience with the products. I agree that Inahsi needs to have more sales; it may help to get their name out there more. Thanks for tuning in.💛
My favorite styling cream is Melanin. I pair it with the Melanin leave in weekly for my wash and go . I purchase mine from Ulta and a little goes a long way because you don’t need much. I put my gel over those two 2️⃣ products. Thanks for sharing as always. I have to try Eden bodyworks because I want to try more options ✨
Hi Rae The only one that you mentioned that I used and agree is the OG Shea Moisture curl enhancing smoothie that I love for wng’s that I paired with Wetline and I really like Kinky Tresses hair butter for the handful of twists outs that I have done. I have only used that one but I will continue to perfect those one day 😊 and I have the As I Am double butter cream but have yet to open and try it. Thanks for sharing.
I use these creams for twist outs. I only use creams under a gel for a wash and go, unless it says it's can be used for a wash and go or I am doing an experient. Hope that clarifies things.
Hello, Rae! Enjoying your contents! I’m happy to see you choose, The Camille Rose, Aloe Whipped Butter Gel. It’s very moisturizing… I paired it with either: Eco Styling Gel, or The Mane Choice Tropical Moringa Braid out Glaze, as a leave in. A little goes a long way!! I’m going order, and try the INAHSE curl cream, and leave in as well. Thanks again, for sharing your favorites! ❤️
Hi Karen! Yes, I love the Aloe Whipped Gel; maybe I'll try pairing it with the Tropical Moringa since that is a favorite of mine as well. Thanks for the suggestion. Do you use this combo for a wash and go or a twist out? I hope you enjoy the Inahsi products.💛
Rae luv this video and once again giving nothing but gems 💎 🥰💙.. Besides the NLS, CR-Almond Jai, Eden, As I Am.. I’m luv the TGIN butter cream & curl food, Pattern styling custard, Donna’s Recipe hair cream .. 😉.. I have so many these are the ones I can think of 🤦🏾♀️🤣
A lot of people like the TGIN butter cream. I've never tried Donna's Recipe, but I've heard people talk about it as well. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your faves.💛
Hi Rae, I also love the CR Aloe Whipped Butter Gel for a twistout. I like Aunt Jackie's hydrate me leave in conditioning Creme and Creme of Nature butter and flaxseed cream pudding. I have been thinking of trying the og Shea Moisture Coconut smoothie. I used to use it when I first went natural. I will also think about some others on your list. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for sharing your faves. I've never tried the Aunt Jackie's or Creme of Nature, so I appreciate you bringing them to my attention. Thanks for tuning in.💛
Hey Rae! Like you I did not like Melanin hair butter my hair just looked ashy and dull I said im never buying this again but recently I paired it with camille rose spiked honey mousse and I love it now. I'm even thinking about repurchasing it. It's a good combo for me
Hi Rae, i like the oldies and some new ones! I just tried to pair the soultanicals frizz whizz with the treluxe cream and it was a no go. Wanted to ask, do you know what type of cleanser would be best to get this combo off the hair? Would a moisture poo work? The treluxe seems heavy to me, might have used too much. And also, is the nls irish moss heavier than the treluxe cream? I also have that.
What was wrong with the combo? You only need a little of the TreLuxe cream so maybe you did use too much. I've never tried it with the Frizz Whiz so not sure of that combo. I would use a cleansing shampoo, not necessarily clarifying, but one that cleanses well. I wouldn't use a cowash if you need to cleanse a butter off. I think the TreLuxe is a little heavier than the Irish Moss Cream. The Irish Moss Cream spreads easier and is a little creamier. Good luck to you!
@@NaturalRaeRae thank you so much! So the treluxe cream and Irish moss are considered butters? I forgot to mention I also used a little bit of straight jojoba oil on each twist after the frizz whizz and before the treluxe which I don't normally do I was trying something out because of dryness. I definitely think I used too much of the treluxe cream. Do you know which would be better the treluxe shampoo or the dollar curl club manetain shampoo or manetain cowash be good to wash this all off? I also have the inahsi fragrance free moisture shampoo which seems more cleansing than the treluxe shampoo. And should I do two lathers? Thank you so much!
@@Phistea86 Treluxe and NLS call their creams, cream. But the treluxe cream does have shea butter in it, along with a few other oils so it is oil heavy. You probably didn't need the Jojoba oil. If I were you, I would use a cleansing shampoo and shampoo twice to make sure I removed all the oils and butters. Then I would deep condition with heat and go from there. Now, I am shooting in the dark because I don't know your hair and what state it is in, but clean hair and moisturized hair is where you need to start. Hope this helps.
@@NaturalRaeRae thank you so much!! Which of these do you think is a cleansing shampoo for this job? Treluxe, manetain shampoo, or inahsi fragrance free moisture shampoo? I really appreciate it
Alikay Naturals yogurt is good, but it is more like a sealer/oil when rubbed in the hands. That's why I don't use it much anymore. The Double butter cream is a cream. So to me they do very different things, in my opinion. If you like oils to seal, then you would probably enjoy the yogurt. If you like creams for moisture, then you may like the double butter better. Hope that helps.
Oh no! That Aloe Whipped Butter Gel is gonna do absolutely NOTHING for a wash and go styler!! 😂 It so moisturizing & smells amazing but there is nothing “gel” like about it in regards to hold!! I see we have lots of the same “favs”.. but that’s all the time. I love your taste in products & I just love your videos period 🫶🏾🫶🏾
😂😂😂the site says "effective hold." I'm sure they are meaning for twist outs, but it still says effective. Anywho, I would most likely use it in conjunction with something else. It used to have a little hold, but I think the ingredients have changed so the hold could have as well. Thanks for tuning in and giving me a laugh today.
Some of my favorites are Kinky Tresses Coconut Mango Hair Butter, Annabelle's Perfect Blend Murumuru & Honey Creme, and Annabelle's Perfect Blend Ayurvedic Hair Creme. One of my absolute favorites was Chy Butta Curling Cream but I am looking for a replacement due to poor customer service.
Yes, I love the Kinky Tresses, too! Haven't used Annabelle's products in a long time and never heard of Chy Butta Curling Cream. Thanks for tuning in and sharing your faves.💛
Chy is/was a small black owned business. I used to love their avocado deep conditioner and then realized I really loved the curling cream too. It had flaxseed in it so I think that was the difference for me. The company (Chy Hair Grow) can still be found on Google but it looks like their website is now gone so I don't even know if they are still in business; I had already moved on anyway.
