I would say Fenix 7X Pro is good enough :) I have 2 Garmin watches: Instinct 2X & Fenix 7X. For now I wear Fenix 7X every day (and night), but I still keep Instinct 2X only for enjoying myself..
@phillipph7205 I like the look of the Instinct, and it looks like it could take a beating, even though the fenix can take a beating. It's just that the fenix cost a couple of grand here in New Zealand versus the Instincts 800$. You get a little nervous when wearing the fenix, I was out hunting a month ago and went to pick up a pig to carry out of the bush and my fenix strap broke, luckily for me the watch fell into my gumboot. I almost had a heat attack because I thought it was lost, it wasn't until I took my gumboots off when the watch fell out too.
Nice video 👍. Your favorite watch face would be probably my least favorite, it reminds me on one of those silly Breitling Chronos, way too much clutter on it, I prefer nothing but time, day of the week and date on the main screen. But each to it's own. Have a good one ☺
Good catch! I even tried to recall if I was sweaty when making this video... but later I realized the watch was taken off my wrist before recording this video, that's why it's near 30 degree Celsius. 😅
Looking at getting this watch for swim, run, hike, and combat sports along with recovery and other data analysis! Do people here who have this version recommend it or wait for the 3 when it comes out! As well I’m contemplating waiting until Black Friday or cyber Monday to get it for a bigger discount
I bought it 5 months ago and the price is still the same as 5 months before. Not sure when the price could be lower, maybe still need half a year? And IMO 2 is good enough so far.
hello, @@xxkinetikxx , not sure if you would like to try this, which is still in the similar taste: garmin.watchfacebuilder.com/watchface/65181d805cfc7, the one in this video was removed..
@@Umut82429no, it doesn't update instantly, even on built-in watchfaces. If you need to check the data (e.g. altimeter) in real time, you can go into the individual interface of Altimeter.
Really wanted to like this watch but after a week I got soooo bored with it. It's just too plain and boring. I've gone back to my older Fenix for now until I get an Epix or a newer Fenix. Too few watch faces for it and the monotone screen soon becomes a bore
You are right, I also have the similar feeling with you, the screen is not good enough to display fonts perfectly. Now I am wearing my Fenix 7X every day, for about 8+ months.
@@levicikecskeYou can find it on the product webpage, for example, I can see it from here: www.garmin.com.sg/products/wearables/instinct-2x-graphite/#updateTab
@@kchorwitz3394 After 5 months usage, I haven't encountered any issue on this watch, the software is quite stable. Comparing with higher-end Garmin watches (Fenix/Tactix/...), its Pros are cheaper price and longer battery life, with even no major features loss.
@@karolis5372 the watch face is a .prg file. Just plug the watch (USB storage mode) to a computer, then the device will be found, copy the file into the App folder (if I recall correctly), remove the device safely, then the watch face can be found via menu on the watch.
