Today, I am making mustard fried catfish. The dredge and wet coating are so flavorful. I will also link the full recipe video for my fried catfish dinner. This is gonna be good!

• SPAGHETTI & FRIED CATF...
INGREDIENTS
CATFISH
3 lbs catfish
2 large eggs
1/3 to 1/2 cup yellow mustard
1 1/2 Tbsp seasoned salt blend of choice
1 Tbsp salt-free lemon pepper
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup Louisiana hot sauce
DREDGE
2 cups yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 to 3 Tbsp seasoned salt blend of choice
2 Tbsp lemon pepper
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder

I really don't at straight salt to my fish, as stated it's in the Lemmon pepper. I use Old Bay season ,maybe a touch of season salt

The mustard can be left out, I suspect its purpose is for flavor more than anything else. You might try substituting milk or buttermilk in place of the mustard. Many catfish batter recipes just use eggs alone (without mustard or milk), then dipped in a dry mixture of cornmeal, flour, or both, with spices. Other catfish batter recipes just coat raw catfish in flour with some salt added, and deep fried that way. Half the fun of cooking is experimenting to make it the way you like it.

Some catfish batter recipes just use regular flour when cornmeal is not available.

That is a lot of seasoning you should seasoning your batter just a little bit if you're going to season your batter a lot you got to do very light seasoning on whatever you're cooking beef before you put it inside the flower that is nowhere near right at all you're a good woman though for trying most women don't do that but you got to do it the right way season putting egg then flour everyone seen southern cooking and the cornbread sugar and honey on the inside and then you drizzle a little bit of Honey on outside what is done with a lot of butter

My personal favorite side dish with catfish is Fried Okra. But here in Oklahoma and the surrounding region, we commonly see fish and pasta paired together, whether it's in the frozen food section at the grocery store, served in the public school system, or at a restaurant.

That's ok if you don't like it, many people don't like bottom feeder fish. You can use cod or another white fish like sole. It's totally up to you what kind of fish you use.

I wouldn't say horrible. People have to learn how to cook certain fish. Me being raised along the Missouri River grew up on all types of fish, catfish is over rated, however it does not have a lot of small bones, which makes it popular. I prefer boney fish over catfish any day. However, I eat all of it, even fish head soup. Backwoods boy here! :)
