Garden expert and author Susan Mulvihill shares her best time-saving tool in her garden. Yep, a mailbox to hold all of those essential garden tools! #shorts @SusansInTheGarden
Susan i have a mailbox and it is my handy tool. I have my favorite utube garden channels including Susan In the Garden written all over the outside of the mailbox.
what a great idea! I have my tools in a bucket that I haul around every day. I’m getting a mail box! Thank you Susan! I’m your neighbor on the other side of the Cascades. Envy your summers!
I saw this idea in Herrick Kimball's "Planet Whizbang" book. I had been unable to find a cheap, used mailbox and hated to spend the $ for a new one. Last year I hit on the idea of a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. Not only does it hold and protect from weather all those items I want at my garden, but it also can double as a seat. It was much less expensive than a mailbox and holds a lot more!
That is a great solution! The funny story behind my mailbox is that some company sent it as a marketing idea to the newspaper where I worked. No one used it for that purpose and nobody wanted it so I gave it a home in our garden!
