Thank you for showing a cleaning video on actual dirty surfaces! I've seen so many cleaning videos that look like they clean before they film. I'm always thinking "why are they cleaning, that tub isn't even dirty?" It was nice to see how your dusting spray worked on actual dust and tub spray worked on the ring around the tub. Thank you for keeping it real!
I've been testing out diy/homemade green cleaners, so this was very helpful! I have been busting my rump trying to scrub an old tub. I found that if I use the tube cleaner and some baking soda sprinkled on, and let it sit for a little bit it really brings the touch stains up.
+The Plant Eaters Glad you found it helpful! Cleaning the tub is the worst...it's like a workout in itself, ugh. Hope this helps speed up the time! ( :
Essential oil suggestion: Eden's Garden. I've been using them for sometime and I like their blends and their prices. Just a suggestion. Love the video 😊
Great recipes. I use 50/50 water/vinegar mix and spray that on my tub/shower, and then throw plain table salt at the sprayed surfaces which makes it easy to scrub any grime off. :)
Laundry detergent-1 bar (or 4.5 ounces) shaved bar soap ( Dr. Bronner’s) 1 cup borax 1 cup washing soda Dish washer-1 cup borax 1 cup washing soda ½ cup citric acid ½ cup kosher salt (for scrubbing action)+ add white vinegar at the time of loading Fabric softener-1 gallon white vinegar 30-40 drops of essential oil (orange/lemon/peppermint) Dishwasher-coal ash+ tamarind concentrate
Omg Ashley, let's just say my kids didn't get to clean their bathroom for a while. The scum was pretty piled up and hard, but when I used the All-Surface Spray as you instructed, it proved to be the boss against all the dirt and scum. This spray stood up againt all dirt I threw at it; cleaning was a breeze for me. I'm sure my kids will enjoy using this spray when they do their chores. I love this spray!!! Oh, and I evicted my bottle of 7th Generation Tub & Sink Cleaner. Lol
Great video Ashley! Thank you! I love using and making these cleaners too! 👍🏼 I just love your hair! It always looks so great! Little baby Avery screaming at the end! The best! 😂😊
I am SOO excited to try these! Especially the tub cleaner as of yet I haven't found a clean alternative that will remove the soap scum. Scrubbing Bubbles is what I have been using and have to open the window and turn on a box fan so I can breathe and remove some of the harmful chemicals in the air! Yuck! Once again thank you soo much for sharing!!
Have you tried Young Living's Thieves Household Cleaner? It's good for everything that you are cleaning as well as it's super concentrated. 1 part to 30parts water. It's life changing for us and the bottle lasts forever. Thanks for the video!
Great video! Thank you for sharing these cleaner recipes. I am definitely going to try out the all-purpose cleaner. I, like you, am very sensitive to smells, especially when there are chemicals in the air. P.S. I love your channel! I really appreciate how you put thought and effort into your videos. They are all so useful and informative.
Thank you for your great, inspiring videos. For the bath tub I use baking soda/ wather cream for corners or places that need to sink in. I use an old toothbrush to crub. I love the dusting spray, the idea of cleaning wood with olive oil is great. =) Greetings from germany
Thanks for the video! I'm a big fan of your channel, but this is the first time I leave a comment! I use the Castile soap, too.. But I will add some tea tree oil like what you do! It's a good tip! For the oil and vinegar one, I'll give it a try later.. Veggie wash one, not so sure, it's because I saw Dr. Greger's video on Nutritionfacts.org, saying it only works by soaking the veggies in not diluted white vinegar or 10% salt water.. For the bathroom, I use orange/lemon peel to clean it, then use Castile soap wipe off the residues..also some good facial cleanser can be green and interesting, too! Thanks for all the good work!
floor cleaner-hot water+salt+lemon or apple cider vinegar/white vinegar+camphor veggie cleaner- I soak them (esp. grapes) in sea salt water for an 1hr or jus diluted apple cider vinegar. shoe freshners-diluted tree tea oil-helps keep the smell away . I hope this is useful ..u make such productive videos .thank u ..
We just love you Ashley! Thank you for yet another smart, earth friendly, people and pet friendly video. I'm sorry to hear about your break with do TERRA. I've never heard of the Native American Nutritionals brand, but I just looked it up, and I'm liking the looks of their pricing. Is this a brand you trust to take internally as well?
+darcy smiths Aww thanks! I appreciate your support. Yes, Native American Nutrionals has great prices and even free shipping, not to mention no hassle of "being a member" or "earning points". I have taken a few internally, a flu-bomb like mixture once and a tummy blend, and I trust them. You'll have to check them out to see if you're comfortable with them. ( :
Excellent video! The cleaning hangover, ugh. That’s a great way to describe it. I can’t even tolerate going down the cleaning isle at the grocery store anymore since going green. It burns my nose!Unfortunately that’s where the sponges are. I Love Karen’s book and Sally’s Bottles. What encouraged you to pick the oils that you use now and are you still using them? Thank you so much for sharing this wealth of knowledge 😊
I don't understand why they would ask you to remove the photos from your blog, if anything you were giving them free advertising!!...... I have been having a internet break, and it is so much fun catching up on your videos, I feel like I'm watching a friend, hope you and your family are well xx great video
You would think so right? Oh well. ( : Aww thanks for your kind words. Glad you feel like watching a friend, I always like watching channels like that too.
Thnak you I'll try the fist one for sure! Since many years, I clean all the house with 100% vinegar. when I dilute vinegar I find it not as effective..
+brook marie I only dye it to get the blonde highlights, I just to be all blonde, but in trying to go a little greener at least I just get the highlights now ( :
I guess I can add tea tree oil to the tub cleaner for a germ- cleaner, right? I need a 'green' tub cleaner for my daughter to take a bath in a germ-free tub
very interesting. thank You. one question: what can I make for cleaning my toilet? I can use the same spray You use for cleaning your kitchen? or the one for the bathtube? thank You. hugs
I hope her book is good, I just purchased it on Amazon. Thanks for sharing. Do you use distilled water? Have you ever tried Castile liquid soap? I will make sure to subscribe and check out your blog. Again, thanks for sharing.
Haven't used distilled water, probably should but usually just use tap water. Liquid castile soap is one of my favorites as well. Glad to have you in our little green community here!
