Hey friends! In this video I'm sharing how to make a few simple and easy DIY cleaning products, then testing them out around my house. I recently decided I want to start making an effort to switch over many of my household products to more "green / natural" options. Not only are these DIY cleaners more natural, but they are also very cheap and cost effective! First DIY cleaner I make is a stone safe countertop cleaner using castile soap, alcohol, distilled water, and peppermint oil. Then I make a DIY general all purpose cleaning spray using distilled vinegar, distilled water, and peppermint oil. Next is a DIY phone / touch screen electronics sanitizer using alcohol, distilled water, and tea tree oil. And finally, I make a DIY soap scrub spray using castile soap and distilled water. After I make all these DIY cleaners, I then go and give them a try around my house. For the most part, I was happy with them. However, I have my concerns about how safe rubbing alcohol actually is to use, as well as the smell of vinegar.
Please share with me your DIY cleaning recipes and hacks with me!!

I've been using DIY cleaners for over 2 years now and love it! Two great resources are CleanMySpace.com (also a RU-vid channel) and livesimply.me (also on RU-vid). Both thoroughly research their DIY recipes. Regarding your issue with vinegar, you can decrease the amount to 1/2 or even 1/4 cup and fill the rest with distilled water. It also doubles as a window cleaner. A great scrub recipe is a mixture of baking soda & dish soap. It's basically a soft scrub. Some people love the 1/2 warm vinegar & 1/2 dish soap (not Castile soap) as a shower cleaner. You spray it on the surfaces, let it sit for 30-60 minutes and rinse. If your tub/shower is really dirty or has a lot of soap scum, you might have to wipe a little. Hope this helps!
