The Xero Prio is a comfortable, well built, and affordable minimalistic shoe. This is my new favorite everday shoe, giving me that excellent ground feel I look for in a barefoot shoe, while also offering some protection in the toe box. The Prio is just one offering from Xero, and I look forward to trying out more of their shoes, especially the trail runners.
As a reminder I received nothing for this review, and make these videos because I love sharing the knowledge I have and helping others find the best product for their needs.

Yeah I wore mine for everything for 2 years. Daily wear. Work. Running. Weight lifting. Plyometrics. Everything. They were great. Now that I'm building to a marathon, I'm rotating more shoes a bit more.

I love my Prio’s. They’re my go-to shoes for daily wear. The outsole near the heels only lasted for about 800 miles so I put some shoe goo in that spot…easy fix. Very comfy, I’ve got these in rotation with 5 other barefoot shoes. Good value, would definitely get another pair.

Nice video, I'm waiting on my 1st pair of Prios right now. A slight critique, if I may - you mention lock laces and how much you like them, but fail to mention which ones you use or provide any link for those. It would have been helpful. This way, people who have or are getting these shoes can actually get the perfect-sized lock laces for their shoe. Otherwise, nice job.

Great review. Prios are my favorite road shoe! I usually put more than 2,000 miles on a pair before I retire them. And you can even use them on most central Florida trails.

Have you only used Prio or have you tried some of their trail specific shoes? It's good to hear they lasted up to 2k miles, how did the upper hold up through all that?

Mostly Prios for running and all-black Hanas for my casual work environment. I do have a pair of Mesa Trail from 2020 that I use occasionally on trail (for better grip, if there’s going to be any ups and downs), but I’ve only put 189 miles on those. I also have several pairs of Venture sandals that I use for shorter road runs (< 10miles). I even still have several pairs of DIY sandals from Invisible Shoes, from back in the day, before they were called Xero Shoes. I did have a pair of Z-Trail sandals from 2016, but I wasn’t a fan of the early model of those. The uppers on the Prios have held up well for me through 2k miles. Biggest problem for me with some of the earlier models is the sole at the toes starts to separate from the shoe. But, if that happens, I just apply some Gorilla Glue on the outer edges to secure it back in place.

No heel pain from lack of cushion? I'm totally new to minimalist shoes.

Do you use any of the other Xero shoe models? Any others that you would recommend for more specific trail running activities that fit and feel as good as the Prio’s?

So how do you outfit shoes with lock laces? Does Xero Shoe do it for you?

I love all minimalistic shoes to hike or run. But it's not so easy to get a pair in my shoe size. That is sad
