I have a tough solar Casio G Shock from 2011 and its still charges and works great. I like the non smart watches as they don't get obsolete.

I've owned this for two years and love it. I never take it off my wrist bcos it can go seamlessly from an outdoor/gym environment (I'm a fitness trainer) straight into formal setting, even with suit on. It's tough and I've put it through the wringer....many hours int he sun, sea water ,sweat no trouble at all. My only gripe is that the black lettering int he silver bezel is fading after two years but I put this watch through much more than a normal person would. Well worth the money, you will get loads of compliments too.

I've got the all black version of this watch and it looks amazing. But the find me function is useless. I have to connect the app first and then go back to normal watch then hold the find me button down otherwise it doesn't make any sound. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I've got one and it's a really great tool watch. Low light legibility of the analog display is great, and when it's too dark, you've got two LED lights. One for the hands and a separate one for the digital display.

As he says in the video, it's solar powered. Water resistance is 200 meters, material is steel and carbon fiber reinforced resin. The movement is rubber suspended and is designed for a free fall to a hard surface from 10 meters. Although surviving getting run over by a truck is not part of the specs, it's successfully been tested. Also boiling and placing it beside plastic explosives that were detonated. This explains why it's the preferred watch of military personell. Search for "g shock torture test" to see what it can be subjected to.

I have been using this watch for over 6 months now. The only downsides of this watch is the steel bezel is easily scratched and the bluetooth won't connect if the battery drop below 50%.

It's one of the best steel G-Shocks you have to check it out it comes in straight steel with a steel bezel and steel bracelet or you can get the steel watch with the black plastic bezel underneath it has a blue accent or red it looks so cool the only downside to this watch is it's the older version and the time is in a little circle and it's kind of hard to read. It's tough and definitely worth looking into make sure you check out the blue and red one it's nice it's not too much but just enough red and blue

WTF do you need blue tooth for a watch........come to think about it.....why do you need a watch if you have a phone with a clock on it?

No, you don't need the blue tooth. Using it is optional. Note that this is a G Shock, so it's designed to survive treatments and conditions that kill your phone (like a 10 m drop to a hard surface, hard vibrations and 200 m of water pressure).

@@powerfulcornelius3285 Besides that, what if you're in a situation where your phone dies or you lose it and you really need to know the time... Watch! In the rare case of an apocalypse, I'll definitely rather rely on having a reliable watch than a cellular device 😬
