The G-Shock GST-B400 G Steel is slimmer, lighter, and more wearable than any G Steel before it. Here’s a closer look at what could be your first wear-with-anything G-Shock.
My wife just bought me one for my birthday. I love it. Not too big, not too heavy, not gaudy, not tacky. Great design, no excess functionality, solar powered, very accurate, waterproof to 200m, time set via the phone app. After 26 years of constant use, it looks like my old Citizen will now be resigned to living in a drawer.
I have 2 regrets: it does not have auto light on feature when turning thr wrist in dark locations and the minute and hour arms are not glow in the dark/fluorescent. I ended up using my GST W120L daily because the b400 has such poor visibility.
I recently sold my gst b200 because of the size, the watch was amazing & I do have some sellers remorse. Coming across the b400, it's a must have. Love that they made it smaller, only thing I wish is they kept the second hand & just aligned it better with the markers (like citizen eco drives)
Casio did a good job with this one. I'm def happy with the purchase. I was afraid the face might be too big but the size is just right and the overall design is classy.
I was never interested in metal watches but this one really temps me. My only concern is how easy it is to scratch =( i have a gbx100 and the metal bezel scratches like hell after 3 months. You think its a good value for money?
As a dedicated mountain and trail cyclist I need a tough watch of this caliber that can withstand the rigors of hard cycling looks like this will be my watch for 2022, Incidentally does anyone else think the reviewer is related to Sir David Attenborough?…
Could you help me? I noticed that there's an around 1 mm length white stripe on the right side of the 12 hour index/indicator. Is it normal or defect? There is also that on your dial next to 12 hour indicator/index?
Great sizing, but they now need to put Multiband back in, and do some bracelet colour variations on the dial. The full bracelet one is strange in that the dial indices are dark grey like the dial, making legibility poor
Nice Video ! - Does this automatically set the time against the atomic time on your phone ? Or is there an option to allow it to sync (manually)? hence avoiding the need to ever have to reset the date/time on this thing ?
It auto adjusts the time on the watch 4 times a day (Every 6h), via bluetooth connection with your phone. Your watch needs to be near the phone (1m I guess) when the sync happens. You can also manually sync the time, with one button press on the watch. The g shock app on your phone runs in the background. So the sync works also when your phone/screen is locked
@@dmccoyny I have a wrist so small that I could tight the rubber strap to the maximum and the watch still looks amazing! The black strap design creates the illusion of a smaller watch...
i don't know how well that would work. the spacing between lugs is a narrow 12.7mm and, as you can see, the remaining band width continues in wide fashion until it matches the outer surfaces of the lug which is about 28.5mm.
The strap is on quick release pins, but it's a very specific size, so I'd say yes it can be changed, but not to any strap other than one made specifically for this watch. I don't think Casio sells them separately though.
Can you please tell me if it's possible to set the the time manually, including seconds?? I like so much this watch, but I'm not interested in bluetooth options.
Got the b400 today and what I really don't like is you can't see the seconds or date digital displays unless you press the light really sad about this they are so dark it's ridiculous so be warned....
I bought one this week and it arrived in two days direct from Casio... It's my 1st G-Shock and it would have been nice to see a tutorial video because the manual is garbage. I will say that the displays are difficult to see without being in bright lighting so the jury is out whether I'm a fan or not .
@@jackchueh1231 I agree 100%... I think I may have worn mine 2 times since I bought it. I would sell it in a heartbeat if I didn't think I would lose my ass.
@@htaehlane5868 I own the watch and know it has back light ... just not ideal when using the functions of the watch ... It's the weak link of the watch .
