The guitar riff is the iconic "trademark riff" from the Police´s song "Message in a bottle" (released in 79) ..which Ren even gave tribute to at the end by singing the first vers of that song as closure for that retake.

I just had to fly across the country for a week for work with a work mate and he introduced me to this Ren. I have been obsessed ever since and it's sick to see you reacting to it. Cause you love the same comedians I do. Also I'm commenting 20 seconds in to the video so I haven't even watched it and I like it. My absolute favorite by Ren. This is the best of him so far for his singing. Plus is the Jungle song, singing this is also just as awesome. Of course, Message in a Bottle is cover of a Sting song aka Police band that Sting was in, way back when.

The tune originates from Sting/The Police album Reggatta de Blanc in 1979, it's interesting how different generations recognize the tunes from different artists, it is also true that a lot of music from the 70's has been sampled by newer acts, thus cementing the creativity of the originals.

Ren's hair cut changes every other week. I think it depends if he cuts it himself or if he has a pro do it. He saved money and time doing it himself. Since he is near his mid 30's looks like his style has matured some. I guess we will see.

LOL 😊 I will agree with everyone in the comments, who were saying you should check out "Jungle, 'Back on 74'". The original video is really phenomenal. Without being asked, I would like to recommend a few missing songs. I would at least like you to hear them in privat. 1. at least Money Game 3, although Part 2 (lyric video) is also hit differently. But maybe the topic isn't pleasant either. 2. both "Murderer" are brilliant, live and original. 3. if you want to listen to RAP by Ren, I recommend "Illest of our Time" or "Hunger" or "Genesis". 4. the "Million Subscriber" by Ren is heartwarming, really. 5. love "Crutch" and "Humble" by Ren, both are old songs. Crutch is with his ex-girlfriend, from a hopeless time and Humble is, to me, a good mood song. 6. from Big Push "Bongo Bong" is also one of my favorite songs. The boys are chilling and making music ^^ 7. Harry Mack Tribute to Ren is also sweet. Well, love Ren! But since "Back to 74" is your favorite song, I'm looking forward for you to the new, more melodic releases. But you should really check out the million subscribers.

The original Back on 74 from the Jungle, was actually "Back on 74th street" in the lyrics. Ren changed it to make it back in 1974
