you should definitely continue the ripper books, they’re some of my favorites!! they get sooo much better than the first book was, especially the third and fourth ones! ily 💗
Sara, I really hope you read “Finlay Donovan is Killing It” this month it’s so funny🥰🥰…side note your hair is Crazy GORGEOUS!!!! “NO EXIT” is definitely on my TBR📚
okayyy didn’t seem like you were really blown away by any Feb books…fingers crossed there is a 5 star read in March!! Alsoooo I love your shirt and want one 😂
My favorites of the month were the Love Me With Lies trilogy by Tarryn Fisher! (Specifically, 1st, The Opportunist, & the 3rd, Thief.) Beautiful writing! Morally grey characters, angsty, a love triangle that has each book as one main character's pov, and it takes place from college years through 10+ years later. All the sabotaging and missed opportunities hurt but are addicting.
I was actually so anxious to see what you think of bride, because I ate that up but especially because of the spice I am scarred to recommend it (it kinda scarred me a little) 😂 I just posted my February wrap up and because I didn't want to be influenced by my favorite book tubers I am only catching up now and loving it 🩷
It's crazy how different people feel about specific books. I really loved Shiver because it was about snowboarding and I loved all of the snowboarding talk. I also read The Swell (about surfing) by her and she's now one of my favorite thriller authors. :) Good video, thank you for the wrap up and always being honest about your thoughts.
I ended up giving Bride 3 stars also. It felt like the main plot was trying to find her friend instead of the romance. I also was disappointed that the STEM aspect wasn't very prevalent in this book like her others. Misery is great at computers but it seemed like an after thought of her character.
she did say that it won’t be a part of her STEMinist romances (as it’s paranormal) however ‘not in love’ comes out in summer which will be another STEM based romance!
@juliakoczor I knew it wasn't part of that series and I already have her next one pre-ordered. However she did make Misery really good with computers, but it was more of an afterthought.
I've started Nectar of War after I heard about it in one of the previous videos. I'm about 30% in and a little confused about the plot but it's still enjoyable.
I also read Flock in February and I felt the EXACT SAME WAY. I was left so confused and a little upset after I read it 😭 I ended up rating it 2 stars and purposefully spoiled part 2 & 3 for myself because I was curious but didn’t want to continue
Finally someone feels the same way about flock as I do. Personally, I don’t see the hype in that series. I couldn’t stand being in Cecelia’s head all the time.
I fully expected that you wouldn't enjoy flock series. I found it actually so weird hearing you say people have been telling you to read it. I felt like it was super predictable that you wouldn't enjoy it but I didn't wanna say anything because I didn't wanna be negative before you had seen for yourself
I read the entire stalking Jack the Ripper series this month and it went downhill, the romance went over the mystery in the third and fourth book with a useless love triangle and Audrey Rose becomes SO frustrating and unlikable while she was way more likable in the first two, and for the fourth one, if you know the true story of the killer subject of the book you guess the killer IMMEDIATELY so kind of disappointing
same!! it's incredible! I knew Sara wasn't going to like it. she's not a dark romance girly, but I so wish she was! it's definitely a genre that isn't for everyone. But I'm with you, it's one of my favorite series of all time!
I actually really adore Bryce as a character! I’m almost done with Crescent City 2 and am going to be moving on to Crescent City 3. I love Bryce and Hunt ❤
me too!!! I also love Nesta’s character. They have such authentic character arcs. I love hearing about who everyone’s favorite SJM characters are though, and I totally agree with Sara about how great the CC side characters are!
Sara, as a Bromance Book Club fan, I need to say that it's ok not to love the FMCs in the books. It's all about the guys. The only thing I don't LOVE in this series are the FMCs, but you'll see them becoming this amazing found family and, for me, it's so worth it❤
18:16 I loved this series so much! This book was too gory. I loved Hunting Prince Dracula and Capturing The Devil 20:29 Will be rereading this soon. 21:11 Loved this! 23:15 I did not like If He Had Been With Me so I won’t be reading this.
Thank you for sharing, all of those book seem like great reads, how and when do you get free time to read??? I have to hide from my kids to get a few minutes to read.
Abby Jimenez's novella - in meet cute collection was the best. I also liked Christina Lauren's novella. I've read 20+ books by C.L. Great reviews. I just found you today. I dnf, if a book is under 3 stars by 40%
I think Crescent City is still more of a high fantasy. Urban fantasy is more like a fantasy world set in our world, so like The Mortal Instruments, Twilight, Harry Potter, etc. 🤔
I had to DNF Stalking Jack The Ripper because of the gore. I loved the historical aspect though so can’t wait for the rest of the series. I loved Pineapple Street and Bride.
What a month of reading 📖 well done to you prayers and blessings to you and your family love your Aussie family friend John ❤❤❤can you please recommend me a good romance series please
If you want a great filler book for in between books you should definitely read out of play by Jolene Perry its a hockey romance but were the girl plays hockey and the guy is from a band
I felt the same way about Flock when I first read it. I rated it a 2 star but then every time I thought about it, I realized how much I hated it and changed it to a 1 star 😂
