Doug, you're a great guy and it was a pleasure to ride with you for all those years. I know it's hard to quit, but I'm glad you chose to stop rather than have that decision made for you.
Congratulations on being to ride as long as you did. Not many can say that. Also thanks for sharing the changes in the area and all of the nature stuff on your other channel. I've learned and enjoyed a lot from what you've shared.
I will always feel privileged to have ridden with you, and call you a friend. The bicycle training and local historical information that you shared with the group was always appreciated. Many new riders, late in life, learned how to safely ride because of you. Stay well my friend.
Doug, I enjoyed riding with you alotback in the "early days" around Sun City and HHI before traffic and life got so complicated. I have great memories of group rides often followed with fun social times. Lots of fun! I think I first met you and maybe Patsy and Hugh about 20 years ago at a ride with a lunch after at the Pink Pig in Hardeville. I am sad you quit riding, but agree with Hugh--better it was on your terms and not anothers. Be well
