MY FINAL SCOOTER RIDE - BATTLESHIP NEW JERSEY LAST DAY IN PHILADELPHIA 

Breaking News: There was a Tragedy at the Philadelphia Navy Yard today, when the Philly Captain struck the Battleship New Jersey with his scooter causing it to sink. Although The Philly Captain received a few minor cuts and scrapes he was otherwise fine. When asked for comment, The Philly Captain was at loss for words for this inexplicable naval mishap. Admiral Halsey could be heard shouting from his sinking flagship to The Philly Captain: "You Sunk My Battleship!"

It is the most decorated ship in history. I've been to The Big J a couple of times and I already have it planned to go back to Camden to see her once more.

I heard that one of the abandoned buildings at the Navy Yard that has a flooded basement, now has goldfish living in the water, and is visible from outside opening

You can probably get parts from Segway to repair or replace the entire steering system. Also, you can get a mount for your handlebar and mount your camera. That way you'll still have 2 hands on the wheel. Keep em coming!

USS New Jersey was Ordered on July 1st 1939. It helps to be prepared for war. Honestly, WWII was the war of the aircraft carrier. These battleships were used almost entirely to soften up coasts for amphibious assaults.

Hey Captain, I took a trip to Norfolk Virginia in 1985 or so. The Kennedy was there at that time. It was pointed out how to tell a nuclear powered A C from an oil fired one like the Kennedy. The top of the kennedy high superstructure is painted black to hide the oil soot. Nuclear are all gray. Why not align the steering/wheel straight and then drill a few new holes for new screws, the old holes may be elongated from that spill you took.🤕🤕 What do you have to lose to try? 😀😀😀

The drydock tours were a bit pricey, I couldn't resist and took one on the last weekend, it was worth every penny. Standing under the propellers and rudders was a once in a lifetime experience. After being under the battleship the supercarrier didn't seem so big when I went over to get pictures of her. It really is a shame that none of those carriers got turned into museums, the JFK is the last one that had a shot but no one could come up with enough funding. So the few WWII carriers are all we will ever have for a carrier as a museum, after JFK is scrapped the rest all have reactors in them that make them pretty much impossible to use as museum ships. On the drydock tour the guide said the only reason the JFK hasn't been towed to Texas yet for scrapping is because there are some endangered birds nesting in her, once the nests are empty she will be gone.
