This job corps???? This look really different from the other ones I’ve seen. Is this like a top notch job corps or something😭 and how do you only get 1 roommate? In the other job corps you gotta have like 3 or 4 roommates. AND YALL GOT AN ELEVATOR? How is it so fancy 🥲
Right now I'm in Phoenix job corps doing security, I'm almost done with my trade when i get done I want to go do JC in san Diego and LA I'll probably do construction with both most likely, I'm expecting to get accepted in April or may at least i just talk to all the counselor here that I want to go I'm just waiting to hear back from them and getting a application from there hope everything goes well but my goal is to do at least 1 trade in SD another in La or if not stay to do 1 trade in SD at least
I enjoy it a lot, and you can get jobs after 90 days of being here. the experience is mainly up to you though. As in, if you’re the type to be shy and not ask questions it’ll be tough cause you’re on your own here. if you don’t speak about what you want to get done.
I’m thinking about transferring, I’m reading reviews and there are some really bad ones , truthfully how is it ? Is the lpn program up and running ? Pls I’m terrified
Don’t be scared! Things were kinda bad last year but are definitely changing now since we have a lot of new staff and higher ups coming in soon. Ultimately tho, it’s pretty good here the only problem could be relationship drama and making the right friends since weirdos are like chameleons here. Job corp is getting rid of a lot of bad students also, so don’t worry at all. I was terrified, but I’m so glad I made the choice to come here it’s way more positives than negatives. Ipn? I assume you mean something along the lines of “I.T”. Which yes it is up now. This place can be draining after awhile but in July our day passes will be returning, so students can finally explore the city and all it has to offer
No smoking, the only time they allow anything like that is on nature walks. Where you can smoke cigarettes if that’s your thing but definitely no weed, and they test you once you get here

@@jo.rrddaannn Yes and no “. it is pretty easy to be honest but it still is school work. There’s levels to it, if you aren’t good at math or reading they put you in classes that will help you the most.
@@kinadabambino6872 yeah I’m not good at math so I’m kinda happy about them putting u in a easy class that u are good at also what if you alr have diploma?
@@jo.rrddaannn Same, I was nervous but it’s all starting to come together now. They give you a test to see where you are in math and reading but I failed the math test on purpose just so they can put me in a class that will actually help me. You get to retake that same test until you pass it with the score you really want. If you have your diploma, things will go way faster! It’ll definitely help.
