2k hours here. Huge respect for pushing fights and playing aggressively! That's how you get very good at the game quickly. Just a small tip - you can remove and add traits even on free hunters, so you can ALWAYS go in with necro as a solo! Make those trios cry all the way into the next lobby!
Thanks! And yes I always try to switch the traits with necro and resilience now! but if I don’t have enough trait credits I always go for magpie and kiteskin. But been getting my money up so don’t have the free hunter option. Still having more fun with this game than anything 😊
It's so strange to not to see insta headshots and server wipe when watching hunt video on RU-vid, it's like looking at my own games from another perspective. Great job, man, hope you keep doing what you do
For being your first 40 hours of Hunt Showdown, you're a beast man! I love not only your playstyle but I love that you also have a decent notion of when to be bold and when to retreat. Also also; great thing that you variate your loadouts as it will help you become a multifaceted player. Also also (also); hats of for not playing necro as it solidifies how brave and bold you truly are! P.S./Also also also (also); it would be a blast to find you and 1v1 you in the bayou :) P.S.S. Great editing!
Yo thank you so much for the kind words!! I gotta admit, I definitely run solo necro more often now and I can understand why some people disagree with it. Honestly editing is why I got into making videos because I love to edit just as much as I love to play 😊 Hope to see you out there bud! 🤠
Honestly, I am overwhelmed by how positive, friendly, and helpful the Hunt community is and has been. I’ve never seen anything like it. Thank you so much!
I have 1666 hours in Hunt as of now. I play on controller vs pc, have a 1.27 or so K/D and more kills than deaths. But getting here took a looong ass time. Up until 800 hours I had a negative K/D, no money and was hard stuck in 3 star (now I move from 3-5 stars) and my aim was the worst you'll ever see. I really had to put in the hours to become good at Hunt. For less than 500 hours you look to be promising. I love your playstyle very much and hope you keep going until it really clicks for you. Keep up the good work!
I appreciate the kind words and you sharing your experience as well! You sir are a savage for playing on controller. I tried it and it’s SO hard!!! You keep up the good work yourself! 🫶🏻
U can just see your heart racing in some of the gunfights towards the end, that a boy , keep slaying we need more players like this, u got this , I enjojed the edit, the gameplay style 😌👌
Definitely man! Trying to make it to 500 hrs playing strictly solo then I wanna try to party up with people. I’ve been having a blast even on the bad days
I admire the persistence, I don’t know is I would have the will to do it 😂 To new players - for your own sanity, do not try this at home, you can get necro with any quartermaster character, and for solo practice soul survivors have zero risk 😅
Good to know thanks! I've only tried soul survivor once but I really love the bounty hunt experience. Do a lot of people play soul survivor to warm up for bounty hunt?
oh yeah and I highly recommend checking out the Hunt player hornet's twitch or youtube gameplay. Dude has extremely good decisionmaking and map knowledge, I learn something new about the game every time I watch. It's also extremely satisfying to watch him click heads
I wish I had recorded my first 100 hours of gameplay, really cool to see that you've done so! Respect for keeping in parts where you got owned (like 5:47, that's such a rough time to learn about immolator mechanics! That clip should be more than enough to prove that you're new to the game, sorry to the people in the comments who think you're lying). I think the Winfield rifles are actually the best rifles for learning to play the game because of the fast rate of fire and responsiveness. At 750 hours I still regularly play Winfield because it enables an active and aggressive playstyle. Mosin, etc., are definitely "meta," but I wouldn't say playing Winfield is a disadvantage until you're taking fights 70m+ out (and even then you can still headshot with proper aim). The biggest thing I wish I knew about Hunt when starting was that the hipfire reticules for the shotguns LIE TO YOU. The actual spread of the pellets is about 50% of the size of the indicator, clustered towards the center. Once you know this and that you have to still center your targets, shotgun damage feels much more consistent! Also, you can see exactly how damage falloff works for shotguns, etc. in the Shooting Range :)
Thanks! The Winfield and Vettereli are my favorite at the moment. Yea I need to practice in the shooting range more to get a better idea of what damage each weapon does on limbs. Also I appreciate you having my back 😊 yea I’m at 100 hours now and hell I died to a hive this morning with no one else around 😂
As someone who did basically the same thing and is also fairly new to the game. I have probably 100 hours in teams, the other 200 has been solo. And can i just say your first 40 solo hours looks like it went way better than mine LOL
Keep in mind this is only 20 mins of the first 40 hours so trust me, I have more suffering nights than good ones 😂 but I grind through it (sighs and clicks free shuffle with no money)
@@freehorse516 no im sure! But I can just kinda tell by how you're playing- you're doing much better then me when i had 40 hours, I was very scared and non-aggressive. im sure there's plenty of suffering LOL I had my own experience with that immolator death after wiping a team T-T - I had a lot of trouble in the beginning because of hearing problems and the old hunt economy spooked me I was scared id hit 0 and that would be the end (it isnt btw) But the economy is more relaxed now so I can push it out of my mind, which i should have in the beginning, but i couldnt LOL
@@freehorse516 oh yeah. I’ve only been playing for about a year- solo necro was there when I started playing, but respec-ing it was much harder to get necro and free hunters basically got a gun and a toothpick. Glad I was there for some of the pain but also very happy the economy is a little nicer
your aim is good for the couple of hours hunt, but we all have to learn alot more in hunt, movement and guns and stuff, there is a lot to learn, at all, its just a game, a really nice good game! :D
I am not a very good player but I would always recommend getting at least a weak regen shot for fights it's always good to have regen going so you don't use all your medkits right away and save it for when you really need
Kudos for starting the game solo, I bet the adrenaline was kicking in. Already looking like you're gonna be a menace in no time. As for tips, remember to respec your health bars on new hunters so that you have the smaller 25hp portions on the right. That way if you revive you'll have 125 hp instead of 100 hp. You'll also want to use the resilience trait in combo with necromancer, it negates needing to heal once you stand up. Magpie is also a critical trait to take as a solo, it was buffed for solo play some months ago. Kite skin is also a must for a 1 point trait to reduce fall dmg. If you're fighting in a compound and need to drop a floor, it can absolutely save you. If you have the time during a fight, you almost always should heal to max. Otherwise you can be downed with one shot to the upper torso with many weapons. Also during a fight, kill the AI immediately around you. They'll just interrupt you or get you killed. Shoot them if you have to. Once other players know where you are, making noise to kill AI won't matter.
Good job, got some kills learned some things. But I can give you a piece of advice. You charging in like a maniac will catch up to you sooner rather than later. Traps are a big component of this game, and they can immediately put you on the back foot.
It already has lol. I had 12 matches I died in a row so I started playing a bit slower now. And I’ve definitely died to a fair share of traps at this point. But to be honest I don’t really care about kd or stats (obviously) I just wanna play the game and have a good time
@@freehorse516 This game have 1 of the best gun play and audio controls :D:D That's why i love it. Fk KD :D Anyway my friends who are in 5-6 Stars all encountered cheaters till they dropped the MMR to 3-4 Star.
as a player who also started this game and spent most of my beginning hours playing solo vs trio, I salute thee. Btw, shotgun hipfire is really good at range, u don't have to zoom in as much. However, u gotta maintain center mass, spread is a joke in this game. I don't recommend hipfiring with romero tho, any other shotty and you're good.
I don't know if you learned this at some point between this video and today, but the aperture sights can be flipped down by pressing the key to switch firing mode. I forget what it is set to by default, but I recommend you to remap it to something easier to reach, I personally have it to "Button 4" which is one of the 2 buttons at the left side of my mouse.
I did that 3 days ago actually! I set mine to Z and that helped. Thanks a lot though 😊 I like my melee and weapon swap on my mouse pretty well. Still tampering with different settings!
At the beginning we see a noob who rushes to the call of duty without worrying about the atmosphere of Hunt. But a little later, I see a hunt player dancing to the atmosphere of Hunt, discreet at times, you choose your moments more to rush. Hunt Showdown is so unique, the atmosphere, the sound, the community...gg
have vault and jump to seperate binds, and switch to hunter instead of gungslinger control scheme - so u can lower your weapon and it not poke out in certain places
@@freehorse516 my go-to loadout is Caldwell Rival (which you played in this clip) + Caldwell Pax Trueshot with FMJ ammo. If you are rather welthy, an Uppercut will do an even better job in most situations. Only if you use fanning, the Pax trueshot excels imo. The trueshot is just such an nice sidearm to have at least some competition beyond shotgun range against all these mosins and lebels out there in the bayou
@@freehorse516 generally the best weapons are long ammo rifles with a fast bullet velocity. The absolute meta loadout is probably mosin sniper with spitzer ammo and as the secondary dolch p with fmj bullets. You can't really go wrong with any mosin variant.
You’re the second person to inform me about this. I will definitely try it. Just afraid I will forget to vault mid gunfight. Is it hard to get used to?
@@swashbucklingseaman3947 I changed set my vault to X and played a game last night with it and started to get used to it already! I haven’t had a fight where I’ve had to vault up during a fight yet though. Thanks!
just saying. if u want many people to believe this u prolly should show ur steam hours or smt.. just for refference to begin with. ur playing rly well for being new. but i dont think many would believe ur completely new atleast unless u show ur hours.
I’m gonna try to do another video around 80 or 100 hrs. I’ll add a snapshot of steam hrs. Currently im at 60. I had no idea it would be an issue of people not believing me. I didn’t even think the gameplay was anything great tbh. Just wanted to show my progression. Not sure if I should be bummed or honored about these allegations..
honestly your movement and aim is already better than the avg hunt player. all you need is some more time in the game to learn the maps and gain better audio recognition.
Nice try, but it looks like you're lying about being completely new to the game. For the first 40 hours, you move too actively in shootouts while using techniques inherent in this particular game, such as dodging 90 degrees after a shot. Nonsense, absolute beginners do not behave like that, even those who are familiar with the game through various streams and videos will not be so active and confident in the first clashes.😶🌫
You can do 90 degree flicks in any game pretty quickly with a mouse set to a high sens. And I’m not lying about being new. Sure the first clip wasn’t my very first match, but it was on my first or second night of the game. I’m obviously terrible in the video, my point of this video is to show progression because I planned to make more and try to improve. Not sure why you are so upset but thank you for watching
@@freehorse516 No problem)) I just shared my opinion after seeing the gameplay and compared it with real beginners whom I met more than once in the game. It seemed to me that you are too good for a player who plays Hunting for the first time. As for the Steam watch, no one guarantees that this is your only account))
@@tafo5130 yea I understand the steam thing and that I could fake that. And if you think that, that’s fine. I’ll still continue to be a noob regardless what you think lol. I’m just kinda confused to be honest I don’t see anything in this video that screams I’m lying about hours. For me, when I’m in a gunfight in any game I try to move around a lot and not sit still, not just this game. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Look at his youtube channel. He plays other FPS shooter's. Alot of it is the same as other shooter's. Its why i came into hunt the same way and never had a negative KD in hunt @tafo5130
1st 40 hours on a new account? What's previous experience? How do you know to burn hunters? How do you know that the Flare Gun Burns Hunters? I know people that have around 500 hours that dont even know those Hunt mechanics. Those mechanics aren't even explained in the tutorial. And playing solo w/o anyone teaching you to do that... I'm calling out BS. Yea new Smurf account maybe.
Learned about burning and dark sight about 15 hours into the game. Never touched the tutorial. If people don’t know those mechanics 500 hrs into the game, then they are obviously not trying to engage in fights or just don’t care to learn. I started watching streamers about 20 hours in and that helped every aspect of the game for me. No smurf account but I’m flattered you think that lol. Remember these are clips over the span of a week and a half so I tried to learn from my mistakes.
@@freehorse516 Watching Streamers helps for sure, one of the best ways to learn. You are correct about the players that I have ran into and teamed up with, casuals... I figured that it was about a week or 2 of play time and I can see you amount of skill you show if your dedicated and not a casual. Thx for the response, just was supper fishy to me. I'm P100 with over 3K hours... I play with people in the Hunt Discord... I play with a huge variety of players. Most people learn slowly and some quicker. I applaud you if your being honest... Hope you enjoy the game as much as I do and hope to see you in the Bayou.
@@AbrumsTANK thank you man I appreciate that. I just keep trying to set small goals for myself like get better at crossbows and get thowing knife kills etc.. Prestiging seems so challenging I was watching someone grind through it a few days ago
@@freehorse516 well you sound pretty legit. Setting goals and accomplishing them is something people do that are skilled in what they do. Always learning always improving. Prestige isn’t as bad as people make it seem especially for people like yourself. Set a goal keep doing it improve upon it. That’s how I hit my P100. I’m actually sad that I can’t do it anymore and might do it again on a new account.
Keep in mind this is all footage from the first 40 hours not just the first few games. Did some research about 10 hours in and started to learn more. Sorry if y out expected me to be sitting in a bush??
I’m just gonna assume you’re the type of player to ride his team mates coat tails the whole game and never be aggressive but get upset when you see other players progressing 🫡
@freehorse516 "presume , assume" ....that what is problem whit this days. I am 5/ 6 star aggressive player. that why I know you are full of shit with you video title.
