This reminds me of a fat tako i almost had but my hook insyead ripped out of it right in front of me. Made me say fuck too cause it was right in reach. Nice vid braddah
Nice video & Great experience man, better luck next time, i have almost the same setup, reel shimano stradic 5000, rod tail walk mambika 100mh, 2PE braided & 30 LB leader, medium to heavy setup & it works like a charm & btw i use the 1,1/2 oz gt ice-cream i feel it works best with the above setup, my last trip i got 6.3 kg Trevally, tight lines buddy.
hawkermustang I was so pissed...I wanted to see the size and weigh 'em...I knew he was a big boy when he struck...I just had the wrong gear and throwing big lure...wrong answer...I should have been using bigger gear to be throwing big lure...but like I said...at least now...I know this lure works!
Just needed heavier line and liter, the Sustain has plenty of drag, deff go with a longer rod like a medium action 10-13' with plenty of back bone. I have a Stella 20,000 and a Stella 4000. I love hooking up to bigger fish on my light reel but if there big enough to spool ya you need the extra line that a 15,000 or 20,000 reel would have. Nice video man!
