My first Blu Ray disc burned and printed

I took two hours of footage (random family stuff) and burned my first blu ray disc and it looked awesome on the big TV so i decided to print the disc since I had gotten into the habit of just using a sharpie on all the DVD's and this was the first blu ray (lol)
I could have put a bit more thought into the printing but I think it turned out pretty good considering I was rushing a bit.
I burned the disc with sony dvd architect and I rendered it first with sony vegas 11 then let sony dvd architect re-render it so it took about 4 hours total to burn the disc with the second rendering.
There was 2 hours of footage on the disc which is 1 hour more than I could have done with the DVD so Im stoked to start using Blu ray all the time just to save space if nothing else but the picture quality is a big plus.

sorry to bother you could I get a list of stuff you use and software and links to get ink like you have in bulk? and can i burn tv episodes to it like a dvd but more to the dish because it has more GB's?

@TheControllerHacker I found this printer at Best Buy on sale for around $120.00 so it was pretty cheap considering all that it does. It has a scanner, cd printer and the memory card slots. I'll post a better video of it today or tomorrow showing the bulk ink system. It really has been a great printer. I think there was one a bit cheaper but I cant remember if it printed CD's but I do remember there were less options for bulk ink so I went with this one

@monkus20 Thanks, The printer is a Epson Artisan 725 I think it was around $130.00 when I got it at best buy. May have been on sale? I got this one since the bulk ink is easy to get for it and that saves me a ton on cartridges, I highly recommend that

I see what your asking, the video camera is set for 16X9 so no cropping needed but if it is anything but 16X9 original footage you have to crop it before rendering then it should burn with no black lines

I had that problem when using video that was wide screen but wider than 16X9 basically formatted like the original, so the original video has to be 16X9 and you would have to use a program like sony vegas or something like that to crop it to 16X9 then it should work with no black lines. I hope this helps, it was the problem I ran into, if this does not work I would be stumped

@TheControllerHacker Yeah it was a great price, My Dad ran out and got one too (lol) Im uploading the video now, I went ahead and included showing the bulk ink since I get asked about that too, I will say I have been very pleased with this printer.

No, it is kinda the sister program for sony vegas to do the authoring.

@RavenclawTimeLord Yeah I love setting up a new fresh computer with all the space on the hard drive uncorrupted with junk then about a month later its all a mess again no matter how good I think I have the files set up I always end up saving stuff in the wrong files (lol) still its nice when its new

what type of blank disks did you use? I tried to burn a blu ray movie to a dvd disc but it says the blank disk is not compatible with blu ray. what type of disks do I get?

I didnt have to format it, I used sony DVD architect that also does bluray and it did all the settings for me. I looked into some other apps but they seemed to be allot of prepping so I stuck with sony architect

@rangask8er Thats what I want to do but all the images I found were solid colors, I need to find a gif that is transparent around the blu ray

@kool001ify Oh those little hard drives are wicked good, no power cable to mess with so its simple to keep track of and there fast, there not that bad on price either. I think for 1TB is around $130.00 or 140 which for what it is I think its a awesome price. I had one and my wife had one then I stole hers (shhh, dont tell her) lol

You spelt disc wrong on the front of the blu ray. Sorry, but I always notice everything lol.

On the newer TV's yes it is very sharp. the TV I had when I made this I couldnt really tell to much. It was a Projection HD TV and the picture was always to dark lol.
