I was a neutral service mechanic for TdB 2022 and I need to share about transporting the bicycle there: The ferry transport damaged quite a few bikes, especially the derailleurs. One guy even had a damaged chain. Many riders wrap the frame but no cushion on the derailleurs. So either try to wrap that area up or rent a travel case. During assembly of your bike, if you are using quick release skewers, make sure the springs are facing the correct direction. A rider installed it wrong, the wheel wasn't aligned, the brakes were causing resistance for his whole time trial ride.
I am so happy seeing this video! I have honestly seen Sherry start her cycling journey on YT, from the first cycling video to the fundraiser to her cycling vlogs to this now. I myself started cycling seeing her journey, so inspired by it. Congratulations on your first cycling event and race Sherry! So happy see you achieve this milestone. Way to go. Looks like a good time. Tips; If riding again next day eat and begin hydrating immediately at the end of your ride. Practice taking your wheels off and back on. I do it right side up some like it bike upside down. Wax the chain. Much cleaner. I found Silca works best. Lil research is required. The most important detail is a completely degreased clean chain. So worth it. Love your channel. Keep up the hard work👍
Congrats Sherry!! 5th on the 1st day and 4th on the 2nd....That says something....Go girl you are a natural cyclist! Conditions were tough not to mention hills were thrown into the mix and quality competitors. As a Specialized owner myself you have to love those bikes. Anyway Sherry well done from all the way down under here in Australia.
I enjoyed that! I remember how nervous I was the night before my first race in 1988. I slept very little. You handled it like a champ. You have a great and fun personality to be doing cycling vlogs.

Loved this video! Have been watching your videos for a while now since you got into cycling. Here in Houston TX. we have an event called the MS150. It’s a total of about 162 mile ride broken down into two days. I did my first ride in May this year and it was tough! Please keep doing these and other videos showcasing your equipment (glasses,shoes, clothes etc.)

Congratulations 🎊 on your 1st race and getting such good results. I might have overlooked, it look like you do not have a bike computer. If you do not have one, you might want to invest in one plus a HR and cadence monitor or even a power meter. Thanks again for the great video.

Try some rowing exercise to strengthen your back. That's how I resolve my back problems. Just 5 mins 2-3 times a week in the Gym Rowing machine will do. Very effective. 👍👍👍👍💚💚🧡🧡
Congrats on your race. Can you comment on how many of the 60 or 70 y.o. men and woman beat your time? Curious if any uber fit seniors were faster than you? You are a lovely lady.
nice job! I also used to suffer from lower back pain when cycling. Check out myvelofit if you get a chance, it's an AI bikefit program that lets you dial in your setup from home on a stationary trainer. Would be interesting to see how it compares to the bikefit you got previously.
