I'm a 2nd year IM resident in Ohio going into Endocrinology after residency, and I can assure you that it does get easier on a daily basis. You get more and more comfortable with things and learn how to be more efficient. There will be ups and downs, but keep up your strong habits and put wellness first outside of the hospital and you'll do great!

bless ya so much hard work to become an dr I'm sure in end your get there i hope one day to help teach medical students as one of there body donors as I'm thermally ill young man so decided to give consent to body donation in hope to help teach medical students Anatomy i wish all well in there studies and pray you carry on to become great dr take care

Great video, reminds me of my first day 37 years ago !!!! The butterflies in my stomach when I realized I was responsible for other people's lives. Back then call was so long, 32 hrs straight!

I love your hospital/medical content and how enthusiastic you are about it! I was a CNA but left because I’m in nursing school and I miss working in the hospital so much. You rambling about how much you got to do and see after your shift is literally me lol. Congratulations on your first day, you seem like you’re already an amazing doctor! Can totally relate to the feeling of “I’m the one that does this now?!” after transitioning from a nurse assistant to a nursing student lol

Congrats on your first day :) recently started as new staff in an IM subspeciality and I still clearly remember my first overnight call as an R1 being nuts managing a case of (in retrospect, simple) delirium. Falls are not a fun page to get, esp overnight!
