the address thing you’re talking about sounds a lot like tomodachi life to me. in that game you’re given an address for your island to use when you streetpass someone and it’s some randomized food name

Going from new horizons to new leaf was wild as a black creator 😂😭 the last animal crossing game I played was the GameCube one when I was like 6 years old but damn That and some of the outdated dialogue from Mabel with gendered clothing 😭 I love the rest of the game though
I feel the same way about Sims regarding the wacky/campy stuff. I feel like Sims 1 and 2 had a lot more fun/silly stuff than 4. I like realistic stuff but it's also still a game and I also still like the random/crazy stuff.
I remember spending hours on the game cube game and in new leaf. I like that you aren’t pressured to decorate everything to keep it simple and enjoyable.

Moved across country and restarted my New Leaf island at the same time and playing my first actual day while watching this and miss Agnes is about to move to my town! 🎉
i always kind of thought that the character you play in new leaf is freshly 18 so seeing you be like "girl i am a minor" makes me giggle. it always felt like "first time on your own" was the energy of these games and the reason you look childish is kinda reflective of how it feels to be a teen but an adult at the same time, not knowing what you're doing despite people telling you you're grown.
Idk why, but I like how rude they are in this game, too! Their attitudes are so much more real than New Horizons. Everyone is just so nice besides Julian (we have major beef rn)
Thank you for the nerdy stuff! I’ve been playing New Leaf for the first time on an almost mint condition 3DS that I paid wayyyyy too much for on eBay. The fuzziness on the 3DS graphics drives me nuts after starting with New Horizons. Totally going to try the emulator and pro controller!

Okay so I tried new leaf righttttt before I got my Nintendo switch and new horizons… and I did not enjoy it😭 I say that with peace and love because I know people love this game, but I’m hoping that watching this will get me into it because I want to like it guys 😭😭
You could change the color of your roof at the very least in some of the older games. I actually still use my 3DS more than my Switch, but maybe that will change in a few years.
