IT'S SHOW TIME!! We drove 20 hours to Pontiac, Michigan to go drag racing in our Hellcat swapped Dodge Lancer GT for the very first time!! This has been such a wild few weeks diving head first into drag racing, and to be racing at Roadkill Nights, on the STREETS of Woodward, as my FIRST ever drag race is pretty surreal. Shout out and congrats to all the other competitors that made it to the big show! Everyone put their hearts and souls into these machines, and it shows. And thank you to all of our partners that made this insane build possible. To be a part of this challenge with @Dodge was an absolute honor, and I can't wait to see where this build goes!!

@@ColleteDavis I have found that the John Doc channel has some amazing stuff on Drag Builds and one thing he had these days is power glide and even an air shifter in one car, He tends to race small tyre and he has major tips from TKM and Mat who explains so much on suspension separation and other factors.

The slipper clutch is awesome, but it needs a lot of setting up. Oh well, it was great anyway and you did a great job. Please do more drag racing in the future, I think you will really enjoy it.

well done Collete. I believe you should put a built TH400 in it and put that beautiful car to further use - it has so much potential. the Tremec gearbox can be set aside for something else. All in all - well done for giving it a red hot go - super proud of you - i sincerely hope we see the lancer again! it is a beautiful car 😍

super first runs! Maybe look into that suspension a little more. You looked to be fighting the car down the track/ Cleeter and KSR had a GREAT series on how they tuned the El cameo system to go down the track straight This Thing will be a MONSTER in no time!

Agree with the others, keep the car and test and get it right! A new Red Eye Challenger weighs over 4000 lbs and runs low tens and high nines in the 1/4 from the factory. Your car weighs about 2800 lbs and has more HP, so theoretically your car should run in the eight-second bracket somewhere. Hope to see the next installment soon.

You guys did great. The car looks awesome and should run like a beast when you get it dialed in. I’d probably change it to an auto if you’re gonna get serious, even tho the stick is a blast. I wanted to drive up to your place and talk you out of that clutch but I knew the videos were behind. It can be a great clutch but needs time to dial in and get used to. If you had a few more weeks. It’s a bit aggravating that they sold it to you if they knew the whole story. They should’ve at least sent someone to help expedite the dialing in process. Oh well, don’t park this beast, there’s plenty if drag racing in Orlando or over with Cletus Punta Gorda so let’s see it out there.

@@ColleteDavis Sure, the issue with the clutch was certainly a significant failure. Are You planning to continue within drag racing development ? This custom built Dodge Lancer GT has so much great potential use as the the man You bought it from, Bill. You needed some more information about the 'slipper clutch', so not to damage the clutch - Alex with their tuner learned more in practice with it during their dyometer session - then properly prepared including through during testing before the event -as You may have seen in her videos and Tom Bailey's too. They [Dennis & Alex] would certainly excellent people to develop more knowledge, expertise along more with Kevin Smith. Certainly You need more details, information, knowledge about the 'slipper clutch' from its developer. Am hoping to see more of, with, within Your drag racing development, if You choose to do this. All The Best Sincerely

Glad to see so many people paid attention to other videos where they said they had to run the manual trans... They must just watch everything on mute. It's a bummer you didn't get the clutch tuning figured out for the event. You already have a small fleet of cars, but I would like to see you keep the Lancer and get it ironed out.

Drag racing is a lot harder than some think. For a first timer you did good I’d love to see what it could do on the strip. Out of all the cars in the competition I favored your car being it was a totally different set up than the rest of the drivers. I could see you doing a 200 mph pass

@Mark Savin; which class do You think Collete Davis is possibly in competition with anything Cleetus McFarland Racing, Garrett, James, George, Parker, Sam, Nate, etc. have a running, operating, functioning or building vehicle ?! ->Even if Leory or Ruby were still manual shift, it would be very difficult for Collete to compete yet -> Collete still needs significantly more drag racing experience in general, including RT - though women seem to have more naturally quick responses, reactions -> certainly much more with manual shift driving -> as most during this event -> they missed third gear shift -> not Rickey with the Viper-throl ->Champlain did very well too. ->everything Collete did and the team did, was just what most everyone did also - basic necessities ->this specially, specifically built Lancer GT drag vehicle with its extremely light weight is certainly nearly ideal, better than the others - but needed some improvement for traction - didn't have the team with the necessary knowledge and experience -> needed more time with Kevin Smith - KSR ->it would certainly be interesting if she will continue to develop her drag racing skills and within her team from Kevin, Dennis&Alex Taylor, and others -[Garrett &ClMcF are not the Best, though better than many others] @Collette Davis All The Best Sincerely

Okay I've been thinking cause we had a mustang with a similar setup except for the supercharger you put on we had 2 turbo's but if you maybe can tweek with the 1st to 3rd ratio and take off in 2nd you might have a better chance running an 8s on a 1/4 mile and maybe prevent the clutch from slipping cause even before the event i could hear that the clutch isn't happy even with the added weight on the fly wheel. i wish i could be there to help you guys but you are far I'm in South Africa so it's thousands of miles away. But it's a Rad build i would love to see more updates on this so that you can make the V8 community proud and happy!

The weight transfer for the manual seems off. It for sure needs longer gears and that will help but seems to be dropping the front end to fast and unsettled.
