I am literally in tears. I'm personally grateful to have watched this video. I am also a cancer survivor (mine was much less invasive depending on who you ask) but holy cow. I wish I could have been there in person to root for you every day. In such a short time to be playing on a reconstructed tendon is incredible period. BUT ON TOP OF THAT not only did you play a championship level course, but you were nowhere NEAR last place. 10/10 I need kona stuff to put on my bag to remind me of the feeling I have right now that you shared. The gratitude to even be able to breath the air regardless of circumstances. Sending love from Ohio.

Take your time. You're a rockstar. You'll get it all back. Do cold plunges! They help me so much after a round.

Good to see you back! Hoping cancer free. Cancer Sucks I lost one of my oldest friends and my nephew last year to it. Hang in there you can not expect to come back strong at first from anything.

Kona you're so much more than just what you do on the disc golf course. Your fans and supporters are behind you because of who you are. I'll be rooting for you as will my daughter. Also the Brave is LEGIT! I have a proto in the bag and will soon be adding one more. #teamdynamicdiscs

Coming back from injury is hard or something as serious as cancer no doubt is really really hard, particularly when you’re a competitive person who’s seen success. Give it some time, the physical stuff will come back, maybe not the same as it was, but without health we don’t have anything. Smell the roses, listen to the birds, appreciate the scenery and the people and just remember you’re playing a game for a living. Even great players have up and downs, good rounds and bad rounds. Focus on the shot in front of you, clear the mind and just try to have fun. Enjoy the process of rediscovering the possibilities and the things you can do again. It may take time but if you keep at it, after a lot of time wondering when it’ll come, you’ll forget the frustration and struggles and something will click and you’ll find it again even if it’s not totally the way it was and appreciate it all the more. I’m coming back from a throwing shoulder injury after 2 years of pain not being able to throw 100ft without wincing and sharp pain, and it’s nowhere comparable to cancer, but I keep going to the field and every 25ft I got back was measured in ice packs and icy hot. 2 years later I’m closing in on the goal of 400ft and I can finally play without being scared I’m going to hurt myself just by playing again and pain free. So especially on a course that’s wrecking the field, definitely give yourself that permission to suck. Laugh it off, and sometime you’ll be laughing your way to a winners circle. You got it!
