It's really heartening to see that the book signing was a success and that all three of you had a fun time. It's also even more good news that your current print run has sold out. Congratulations! My book delivery from Amazon has been delayed. I think Amazon here in The Netherlands is still waiting for stock to be delivered from the US. That's not a problem. Patience is a virtue they say and I've got plenty of it. The delay makes the anticipation of it arriving all the more exciting.

I've really enjoyed watching your channel. My daddy was from the hills of Virginia and met and married my momma in the Air Force. Our family ended up in California where I was raised and still lived, but my heart has always been in the south. I had the chance to live in Tennessee and Georgia as a young adult and really fell in love with the people and the lifestyle. If I followed my own will, I would live there. But the Lord has me here in California and has not said I could leave. Watching your channel reminds me so much of my family and the meals that my momma and my aunt and grandma would make and all the hours we spent in that hot kitchen cooking and canning. When I have a little extra, I am going to buy your cookbook so I can pass it on to my nephews and nieces so they will know the kind of food and lifestyle that is their heritage. I’m so proud for you Tipper! I remember many dates in an old truck just like that. My husband loved that truck. And we’d sit so close together riding my daddy used to say you couldn’t put a piece of paper between us. 😲. Now, my son, our youngest, and his daddy have an old ‘46 Ford they are restoring. And according to them, momma gets the first date with both! Our prayers were with y’all and I KNEW was a success! God bless y’all!

Tipper dear friend i am sorry i was not in waynesville. As you know i am handicapped from a fall and walking is difficult. Main street waynesville without help i cant handle. So glad for what you are doing as i am family from 1715 in here. How lucky i was for my dad who tauggt me well. Ron

There are some clear links with the dialect and food traditions of my northern English childhood, sadly now dying away. I love the book! I gave it to my wife as a gift and she loves it. We enjoy watching your family on RU-vid. I only had two things about the book that I would 'complain' about, but really, there's no real complaint. First, I wish the print was darker for my eyes. It's not just your book, but many books just don't have dark black ink like older books had. Secondly, no pecan pie?????? I was hoping for a good southern pecan pie recipe, but that's okay, the apple pie recipe is on my list to try! Cooking the apples first is an interesting way to make sure your apples are soft in the pie. Excellent book! Thank you!

Hey Tipper and to the family!!!! So glad the cookbook has really taken off. My family and I are on vacation in Franklin, N.C. We came up to see my niece graduate from Western Carolina this coming Saturday the 13th and decided to rent a house and make a week long vacation out of it. We all watch your videos and consider y'all our high country family. We are constantly talking among ourselves, and asking "have you seen Tipper's latest video, or did you see this or that" from Tipper or "the twins" as my mom says. Y'all live in a garden of Eden and I wish we could come up more often. We all live in upstate South Carolina and it's only about a two and half to three hour drive, so we come up at least three to four times a year. There is so much to see and do in the area that never get to do all the things that we plan on ahead of time. My favorite part of the trips is by far just sitting in a swing or rocking chair and enjoying the views of the mountains. We also love going on hikes to all the different waterfalls nearby. I hate to ask, but could you please tell me the name or number of the road that you drive on to go through the Natahala gorge? I definitely want to go through there on this trip. We are praying for Miss Cindy and the rest of the family. Our hearts go out to each and every one of your family. We can only trust that God is all knowing and has a path and plan for each person. Even though we can only see the reason for things in a dim light here on earth, God holds each of us in a loving embrace and reveals all things in total clarity when we go home to be with him and get our heavenly bodies which will allow us to live and love eternally. Wow. Great success. What a blessing. Good things happen to good people. I’m going to try and cook all the recipes. My favorite so far is the black walnut pound cake and the strawberry shortcake. Both are outstanding. I never could stand strawberry shortcake made with a sponge cake. Take care❤

The trip through Andrews and the Nantahala Gorge made me cry. That's my home! I was born just over the hill, literally. I lived there the first 25 years of my life. We always had plans to come back home but it never happened. It looks like I'm stuck here until I die and then I get to go back home.

Congratulations on your book signing! Thank you for the beautiful ride. I have been on the Nantahala train ride with a group of ladies from church. It was wonderful to see areas of the mountains where vehicle could not go. The train guide told us Nantahala meant "land of the noon day sun". They said the indians named it that because there was only one spot on the ride where the sun shined down, and it shined down every day at noon. We took the train ride out of Bryson City and loved it😊
