Yes, this is my first aquarium ever. I've been trying to get into the hobby since the pandemic, but due to life circumstances, I couldn't. On the bright side, I had plenty of time to research, and over those years, I fell in love with the Iwagumi style. So, I decided to take on the challenge and make my first aquarium a planted tank.
A few things I want to point out: First, you'll see a lot of prices in this video. It's important to note that this video is not sponsored, the prices are meant to inform and clarify the costs of these types of projects. You'll also notice that I use a lot of second-hand equipment, the main reason is to show that high-tech tanks can be done for cheaper than you might expect (though for me, it's still a lot of money). Seems pretty high-tech for a starter tank to me. But then again, I'm still getting supplies for what will be my first tank. Great job on the video. I think your early fans would love to hear you narrate this.

It's kind of a low-budget, high-tech tank. I try to use second-hand equipment when I can. Now that I have the basics, I'm slowly upgrading the setup.

Pues tiene muy buena pinta. Cuando vayas a introducir peces controla también el tema del volumen de agua que mueve el filtro. Yo sobredimensioné la velocidad de la bomba porque lo aconsejaban en varios sitios (típicos comentarios de mover de 7 a 10 veces el volumen de litros por hora) y estresé tanto a mis rasboras que perdí varias antes de darme cuenta de que la corriente las agotaba.

Gracias! Lo de la corriente del agua es fácil de solucionar, puedes cambiar la pipa por una con forma de lirio o agregar plantas que amortigüen su potencia. De momento no he tenido problemas!

For stocking options, I would recommend some mosquito, exclamation point, or strawberry rasboras.

japanese rice fish, mollies, tiger barbs, neon tetras are beginner fish... Make sure you buy any one type in bulk.... dont buy 2 these, and another type 2 fish....they will suffer... Minimum 6 of any type is better. Consider adding Shrimps. Denison Barbs are my favorite

Good recommendations, I will probably go with one of those options. Right now, I am measuring the water parameters to ensure that any of the fish you mentioned are suitable. I would also love to add some shrimp, I am waiting for the drop checker I ordered to arrive. Thanks again for your comment, it's the first one on this channel.

i am curious, whats the point of the co2 tank and all of its required parts when it would be easier to just buy an aerator and air stone? Unless the compression of the co2 has another purpose besides integrating oxygen into the water

I am not an expert, but CO2 is great and sometimes necessary for plant growth. The CO2 system does not add oxygen directly into the aquarium, rather, it is the photosynthesis of the plants that oxygenates the water. So, you could say that CO2 is important because it helps plants produce oxygen in the tank. In next month's update, I will show you how fast the Monte Carlo grows with the correct amount of lighting and CO2.

Co2 has Nothing to do with aeroation. Its a fertilizer

Indeed, it was a couple of years of wanting to start, but not having the resources to do so. The positive side is that the longer I waited, the more I learned.
