Hey Dylan, I'm Ray. I've been doing photography professionally and non professionally for nearly 3 decades. Had my eye on the GFX system since day one, but thought they could do better. This new GFX 100 'the second' was the one that got me into the system. I've been using mine for close to 6 weeks and it is simply incredible in every respect. It really works like a modern full frame mirrorless camera with the quality of a digital medium format. Outstanding. Cheers.

As an owner of 100II and other systems I can tell image quality is outstanding, just brilliant. Focus is slow and not on full frame level, rolling shutter is HUGE

I don't think rolling shutter is as bad as it is made out to seem, all things considered. In a vacuum, it ain't bad, but next to the latest FF sensors and stacked competition, it isn't close, you're right. Glad you're on the owner group!

there's a place for simpler optical formul lenses in the fuji lineup ... with faster AF motors ... smaller and lighter lenses ... a tradeoff could be distorsion and vigneting that are easy to correct in post ...

Use an active Fringer adapter with full frame lenses, and there you go…! Or, use a 645 adapter and vintage lenses, and get some truly characterful images for cheaper… and there you go… adapters give you a lot of alternatives, and e.g. fringer are really really good!

Haha thank you. It's funny - recording videos, you can "hear" the combative comments as you record so I try to provide some sources as I speak, etc. Not always but when I can. But thank you! I have more GFX coverage to come, appreciate you watching!

Refreshing perspective, as a GFX shooter I completely agree. It’s gotten a bunch of negativity lately, but they’re really special cameras that make shooting so fun.

Totally! Tons of negativity from a lot of the old guard in the community but it truly is unlike anything else. This Full Frame vs. The World mentality is awful. Thanks for watching man!

I think the online negativity is Sonys marketing department at play… Sony wants to look like the ultimate, but in every category they create products in, there are way better alternatives.

I have a 50Sii and I’m an amateur. The 100… I can’t justify. The 50 is hard enough to justify- but it’s soooo good 😆

I don’t know man I bought it and sent it back compared to my Sony A1 even though I had to enlarge the picture twice as big when I zoom into 400% there was no difference whatsoever

Which lenses did you have on both cameras? I once compared my D850+Sigma 50mm art with an X2D+55mm V and the Hasselblad blew my mind. Another time I had the D850 with the Tokina 100mm macro, the X2D+120mm macro and the GFX100s+120mm macro: the difference was less impressive than the first time, but was still visible. I did pixel peep.
