This is just the beginning of the fish room build!! So much more to come so be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. I’m so excited to get this fish room going and hope that you are too 😃
Dude, your neighbor running an aquarium store in his garage sounds so frickin awesome! Maybe you could interview him about his experience back in the day? I think that would be interesting
That was AWESOME, Ryo! I have been wanting this kind of tour for a long time. lol. That backyard fascinates me. so much possibility. And you are always SOOOO inspiring and full of energy. It makes me want to leave work and go work on my fish tanks. Hahhahaha.
I really feel that about not being able to cull fish 😂 I think it's wonderful that you give them a chance to live out life on their own, they're lucky to have you. Everything looks beautiful and I'm so excited to see progress on the garden pond
Good on ya for building your dreams. As a tip you can use your dirty fish water to water your plants outside. The fish water is fertilizer. Keep it up.
Ryo I wish I could help you build a pond! I currently have a 2000gal. Koi pond that I built myself. Great video, a timelypse of the garden cleanup would be cool.
Ryo! New vids! If you make it round the US let people know and we can book you for speaking engagements at clubs. People will fly you all around just to talk fish for sure.
even if it’s expensive, you should definitely try to get walls in there! i think paying for electricity is just as expensive. if anything, getting foam board insulation beats not having any insulation before winter comes.
Spectacular as always brother, good luck in the scape contest, it always comes across that you put a lot of thought and Care in your scapes I hope the judges see your hard work and award you high-ranking good luck with all your plans
Not that you asked for our opinion, but if I were you, I would insulate first. Walls a drywall later. The insulation serves a utilitarian purpose, keeping temps stable for your fish. Walls are for looks. Split it up and split the costs. But you do what you think is best. Everything looks great and I’m excited for you!
Yup, I did mention that. I’m definitely putting insulation and I could just do it the cheap way and add styrofoam insulation but I really want to be able to screw things into the wall because I want to build a drain pipe that goes around the room. That’s why I want some walls :)
Looking good man, can't wait to see what else you're going to do in your fish room. Keep up the good work 👍 The 4ft tank at that measurement should be 67 gallons. The 3ft tank should be around 50 gallons.
Bro you have a awesome collection!!! I'm really impressed Ryo... Get to breeding those fish!!! Good luck and keep up the hard work!! Look into a really good space heater it might work better than the heater method
It think it would be more cost effective to get a small window A/C. One cooling that size room shouldn't be anymore electricity than running a bunch of heaters, and cooling the space the tanks are in is much easier than cooling individual tanks.
i love your videos too much, thanks you very much for uploading this video,im alway follow your yt channel thanks you agin for upload video, and upload more videos
I have a tank of rainbowfish, they are my absolute favorite species, and my school of turquoise rainbows are always yawning, showing off their big mouths like sharks😅
I like your Channel, cause I’m learn how to speak better English to guideline agriculture in Thailand by Thai. I learn a lot..😊and I heard you order some equipments from my country 😁
I like the tanks stands you made, and I love the big plans you have for the main fish room. I will be following to see how you build your outdoor pond, as I want to do one too and am now researching ideas to do it attractively as well as economically. (I notice you don't use substrates in your tanks - do you just like the minimalist look?)
I wonder if you could have the room sprayed with foam insulation? Is that a thing in Japan? Might not cost too much bc of size and then you could do drywall later on if needing to split costs up. The room looks like it’s coming along well!
I haven’t seen spray foam in Japan. We’ve got styrofoam insulation sheets and the other type that is like a glass fiber wool thing. I’m planning to use the latter. And I need walls up because I really want to mount drain pipes and air pipes to go around the room. I don’t want to have to redo the tanks in the future again just to get drywall’s in. It’s a pain having to move all the tanks 🥲
@@RyoWatanabee Fiberglass is prob the cheapest and easiest to do. And yeah having to move stuff constantly sounds annoying. Good luck! I couldn't imagine not having AC b/c I live in Okinawa currently and it's hot almost all year haha
@@RyoWatanabee The few months of "winter" here are pretty much the only time I like being outside lol I want to go to the mainland and see the mountains and snow before we moved back to the US though.
Calamonous worm sucks. Did the medication work? I used a local brand and it didnt work. Maybe my dosing was not accurate. It did killed the planaria and hydra though.
Thank you for the video. Is the goldfish pond going to stay outside over the winter? If so, I think you will need to make it deeper so that it doesn't freeze over. I think a depth of 3 feet would be better for the goldfish, as opposed to 2 feet you were planning. Someone else may advise deeper. King of DIY went for 6 feet for his pond. Just something to consider. Take care.
Ryo, do you know how to keep anubias healthy? mine seem to shed alot of leaves and the rhizomes have this white gooey hairy things. Is there anything wrong that I do? My tank is about 25-26 degree Celcius, non CO2 tank (dose with liquid carbon), and with APT Complete liquid fertz, water change once a week.
Nice display... Im from Indonesia .. and if you wanna buy some fish from indo you can chat me.. 😆 in indonesia ,, snakehead is so populer,, better than small fish .. And btw i love that anubias , so big leaf , borkleaf ?
How do you keep your tank algae free? I find myself cleaning my tank twice a day as the algae just keeps growing and growing. I only have 3-4 plants inside.
Looking great Roy! Silly question but in regards to the crypt tank, would it not benefit from slightly more gravel depth especially if using root tabs?
Yes, you’re right! Thats another thing I need to do. I’ll be redoing that tank all over again and next time, hopefully doing it the right way from the beginning.
