Growing up in Pennsylvania, Tom Keifer fell in love with guitar and the blues at a very young age. When Tom informed his mom that he wanted to leave high school to tour with a band, she made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Tom's the real deal. Seen him about 5 times over the years. Never disappoints. My first les paul was a black standard from 79 I believe. It was really heavy. I traded it in for a Malemsteine strat. I bought a 1997 gold top les paul classic and love it! Those pick ups have some bite!!

He’s a great guitar player, singer, songwriter. I remember when he would be singing then walk away from the mic and grab the Les Paul for a solo. You knew something great was about to happen. He played with taste.

I saw Cinderalla on the same bill with Slaughter, Dokken, and Poison in the late 90's, and left being absolutely blown away by Cinderlla's live show. I think a lotta' people sleep on Tom's ability to play some very intense solos! He did a whole on his knees, under the spotlight and dripping sweat thing at the show I attended and it was like seeing Hendrix.

I started playing with an acoustic in 76 as I started 7th grade. Then in 77 I got a Japanese lawsuit guitar. It was a gold top LP copy. My dad took me on Christmas Eve 79 and bought me a brand new Gibson Les Paul Custom. I was totally blown away as like the greatest Christmas gift ever. It cost $729.00 with the case. That was a lot of bread in 79. My greatest regret was selling it around 2003. I replaced it later with another Custom a black 68 reissue for a whole lot more money. I miss that first LP. It was natural finish with the maple fretboard and gold hardware. Ace Frehley was my motivation. Seeing him with his 3 pickup 74 cherry sunburst made me want to play guitar.

I was lucky enough to be at his concert in Moscow in 1989 . It was a big concert where Ozzy Osbourne , Scorpion , Motley Crew took part . I really liked Cinderella then . And of course their famous Nobody's Fool .And of course, like all guitarists, I then learned to play this famous solo from this song

It's great to see some '80s era players get some attention in these Gibson videos. Thanks Gibson! Even though I've been playing since 1983, I didn't get my first Gibson until a few years ago... a Les Paul Standard. Now, I also own a limited edition Alpine White SG, an Original Collection Flying V, and an Original Collection Firebird. My collection is over 20 guitars, from Charvel to PRS to Fender to ESP... but NONE make me feel more like a rock star than when I pick up a Gibson. :)

Night Songs is one the few (maybe the ONLY) recordings where I like every song. None of the songs on Night Songs is a throw away. I wasn’t crazy about the follow up, Long Cold Winter, but Night Songs was fantastic. I still listen to it. Straight ahead rocking tunes. Doesn’t sound dated one bit.

Saw Tom in St. Charles Illinois back in 2018, very nice guy who autographed my cd's and spent a few minutes talking and taking some photos with my wife and I. My first Gibson was (and still is hanging around) my 2014 SG bass (sorry but primarily a bass player here.) Since then I have acquired in order a 2015 CM Les Paul, a 2021 Les Paul Modern, and my new "Holy Grail" which is a 1988 Les Paul Custom Lite which was owned by Mike Campbell from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. I own some Epi's Les Paul models as well (a 2018 Slash Anaconda burst and a Tommy Thayer Electric Blue) and they are great guitars in there own right.

Gibson you don't need those RU-vidrs that bad mouthed you. You have the biggest stars in the world endorsing your guitars. And you cannot watch a music video on RU-vid without seeing a Gibson. So I hope you give these RU-vidrs the finger.

My dad came by his ‘76 Ebony Les Paul Custom by chance. A friend of a friend was hard up for cash and sold it to my dad for $400 back in like 1977 or ‘78. He still has it to this day. Best $400 he ever spent.

My first Les Paul was a black custom with 3 pickups. It was a '57 reissue which I still have today. Black with gold hardware. I had arrived.

I remember them from HS, Night Songs and Long, Cold Winter. I had Night Songs but I also was caught in that Thrash Metal vortex & that was the year that Master, Reign In Blood, Among The Living and The Ultra Violence came out so I was locked in on those but Night Songs still was a change of pace that put some Blues Based Rock snuck in cause Tom has that crazy Killer vocals & lead guitar skills.

Yeah I was heavily into thrash at that time too ('85-86), and pretty much had abandoned all of the more mainstream rock/metal stuff I had previously been into (Van Halen, Crue, Def Lep, etc). However, as I started getting more proficient on the guitar, I found myself slowing getting back into the mainstream bands. It was just hard to stay away, despite the calls of "poseur" and "sell out" from my thrash friends LOL. It was a pretty divisive time in the rock/metal camp, but I said to hell with all of that... I'm just going to like what I like! :)

I played guitar for almost 3 decades before I got my first Les Paul (Epiphone Custom Silverburst). Started an addiction that is hard to satiate. Can't wait until I order my own Custom from the CS :-) Hopefully they'll start giving Nashville tours, got to see the Memphis plant a few weeks before they closed it. Tom Keifer was actually one of the earliest 80s players I always remembered seeing with a Les Paul. I loved it but the ones I tried were too fat for my sad little hands. Now I've got Traditionals and a couple 59 CS and it doesn't bother me at all, grew into it I guess :-)

Hah! My mom made a similar deal with me... sorta. I wasn’t allowed to get a Gibson Les Paul until I finished college. So I got my AS in computer tech, and landed a gig at a dead end call center that paid well enough. Then after getting enough scratch together - got my first Les Paul. It’s Traditional with the sunburst, and it’s been Les Paul heaven since!

My first ":Les Paul" was an Aria Black Beauty copy.... That didn't last long. First Les Paul was a natural 1976 LP deluxe. I'm glad I never routed it out for humbuckers. Still sounds killer...

Love me some Cinderella. Who's your favorite black LP Custom player? The first one I noticed was Fogerty. Then a favorite was John Sykes , and Ronnie Younkins of Kix. Of course Tom Kiefer is right there .

I have owned several les pauls the first one I bought because my damn guitar player in my band could not keep his out of hawk and was always broke and we needed a guitar to play gigs it was a 95 less paul studio wine red. pretty guitar. My second less paul was a silver burst I bought from a guy in the paper. It had neck issues so I lended up selling it 6 months later. In 2000 my Wife that passed away bought me a Les Paul Custom green burst that I still own today. Its a great guitar and sits in the case way to much. sorry I am rambling but that's my Les paul History
