Congratulations on the great video again, myponga you can never go wrong. Congrats onthe yellow belly as well, that's a tank indeed. Hope you get better soon and on the water again. Alvin Newton.
Hey Terry good videos, I’ve really enjoyed watching them as I recently got into kayak fishing. Ive been to Myponga many times it’s great fishing. I look forward to trying out some of the other reservoirs. Keep up the good work. Brett from Seaview Downs.
Hi Mate, thanks for watching and for the comment. I hadn't tried any other reservoirs as yet, maybe one day. I do prefer hitting the ocean, going after squid, whiting etc but sometimes the swell is just too much. Give West Lakes a go, when the fish are on it's fun. Terry
Greta video mate, content is improving drastically. Good to see the reservoirs are still producing some good quality models! Did very well to catch that big of a Callop, especially being your first. Name is Vas and colonel light gardens.
Thanks mate, John who was out there at the time did much better than me on the day as he was able to sit over the school. I was surprised at how fast I was being pushed away as soon as I stopped peddling. Thanks for watching and commenting. Terry
@@kayakfishingins.a4327 Turtle back worm was an interesting idea though, thought they were mainly used for salt water species and never thought to question the freshwater application of the lure. Did you end up having any luck on them?
Couple of nice Reddies Terry, and an awesome Yella. Good job🎣🤙. It seems you don’t bleed your fish when you catch them? I’d advise you to try and see if you notice a difference, even with Redfin🤙 also Terry, Warrnambool is my entry for the comp. Thanks mate.
Hey Tezza, thanks mate. Yeah I bleed everything I catch except those red fin. To tell you the truth they were still kicking when I got home and bled them on the filleting table. I know that we are not supposed to transport live redfin in SA so next time Ill dispatch them then and there.
Congratulations mate on the golden perch, boy thats a way to catch your first! Still yet to catch my golden but hopefully one day it will come. Great video as always! James Westbourne Park
Thanks mate, I was sorry I didn't have the camera rolling when it hit. I thought I got snagged and my rod holder twisted right around and the rod shot out. I just caught it in time. Good luck on the hunt for one, I thought they definitely put up a better fight than the redfin.
Congrats on the golden Terry, it looked like a beauty of a fish! I headed out to Myponga with a mate on Sunday and it was super blowy as well, but managed a decent haul anyhow, everything was caught on the troll because we’d get blown 100m in no time when stopping lol I tell you what I’m bloody jealous of that comfy looking seat and the amount of room you have on the PA! Cheers for some more great content mate. Tyla Christie downs
Yeah mate, I had the same thing happening to me. As soon as I stopped, rigged up I was 50-100m away from where I wanted to fish. I gave up that style of fishing and just trolled around for a bit. The PA14 is very stable, comfortable with a lot of storage. It s however a barge to load, transport and launch. I still have a 2021 model outback coming but I might sell it and get something lighter and cheaper that I can car top. I'll use the light one when I just want to go out for a couple of hours. The Hobie Revolution 13 and Compass are probably on the top of the list.
Great video mate. Nice size Callop and decent reddies too. Well done putting in the effort to edit and put your videos up, really enjoy your channel. Cheers, Brad from Kangarilla
