I was there a few years ago anf found the history amazing ...had a run in with the traffic cops there which spoilt the afternoon for us ..but that was the only downer :)

If you are getting into Rome plan ahead as soon as possible to avoid scams, the colosseo, musei vaticani o villa borghese will need booking. if you don`t get tickets explore the other fantastic attractions like musei capitolini, san luigi dei francesi (3 caravaggio) for free, palazzo althemps, etc. be carefull of scammers especially around colosseo e fori.

Actually I think colosseum scam can be break down as:1-Space for your visiting day was already online booked and full. 2-Indian guy was playing with you as if any two pre-booked people for your visiting day if not show up then both of you guys can go with guided tour.But unfortunately all people showed up that's why despite your wait space was already full.

He didn’t say if they don’t come you have spaces he said you definitely have two tickets but has you say he definitely got a higher price and absolutely rinsed someone else.. it always people from other countries that do the scams too and make the country they are living in look bad happens a lot

Couldn’t figure out any other way to get tickets for that night, I tried every website so our only option was to go through this legal scam where they buy out all the tickets and then sell a group tour “last minute” to apparently make it legal
