Wait does that mean if I induce fear to an enemy and then a specialist pulls them towards a hole, they won't fall into the hole cause they have the fear status effect?
Another thing that i found very interesting about her alter is that she was one of the few cases where an alter was really justified, the last chapter of Il Siracusano and Texas Alter's dialogues already indicated a new future for Lappland, since she was capable to free herserlf mentaly (Alberto/Texas), physicaly (Texas) and spiritualy (Zarro), a total new and stronger Lappland coming from the wilderness was evident and was foreshadowed through the event.
Lappland and texas where my first five stars and i still use them too this day tomorrow I'm spending 300 pulls to get wis'adel and logos plus buying skalter. And from then to the time this event comes out i will be saving every single orundum I get to buy lappland alter. She will be pot 6.
I do like how they kinda tone down the power of the character being released so far compared to the stuff up to Wisadel with so many meta defining level units. Lapp Alter looks strong but she doesn't look like she will outright replace GG. GG exploding drone crit and res ignore give her a massive leg up when it comes to the damage side and unless Lapp numbers are ridiculously high, it will be rather tame imo. Lap might be better for consistently doing damage as she doesn't require her skill to be active to do damage and her talent reward you with more damage just for existing. When you do activate her skill, it's more to cause havoc than to kill until there's only a single target left then you will get a lot of damage once the drones are fully ramped up so you're going to need someone to clear out the crowd for her if you want to focus down a boss with her. If you want to take advantage of a burst window however, GG should be way better especially with any ASPD boost to trigger as many drone explosion as possible.
Even if she will spread her damage, the total damage she deals will still be high. It doesn't really matter in most cases, since ultimately...you need to kill everything on the map anyway. There are two times it does matter. 1) If there's an enemy that is so dangerous that you absolutely need to burst it down before caring about the other enemies. 2) If the map is sprawling and she takes away targets from operators away from her, that end not providing their damage when they otherwise would. On the flip side, the die may be just right, so that you will pick on the most threatening enemy in a sea of fodder. Also...there's no randomness to her third skill if you activate it when the only enemies on the map are the ones entering it. That will have the drones stacked from the start. Most maps have moments when there's very few enemies out and most of them are together, so she will actually have the drones stack in a group quickly. After that, if they really do target the closest, there's no randomness anymore.
I do understand this line of thought but, her calculated numbers based on the stream are roughly twice as high as GG's. Those crits and res ignore aren't doing anything to close that gap
@@boxlord616 goldenglow is better if the enemy has 95 or more res, but this is very rare and on the other hand we have texalter s2, so it has very little importance
I love her new design, she's so cool. Since I don't have GG she'll likely be my first 6* mech-accord op, I can't wait to get her. Also, if you are interested in Lappy & Texas backstory make sure to read the manga that's coming out alongside the event because it's great and it paints a good picture about their relationship and what they were like back in the day, it definitely made me like Lappy (and hate Alberto) even more than before. There are unofficial translations out there already.
Kit seems cool. I always like global range. A thing I like to do in IS is get Ambriel and GG and try to have as much uptime of a global skill as possible. If I get her, I'll gladly add her into the equation.
I can already see her performing as another Gnosis in IS attack speed items.. but better since inflicting fear > cold (no boss can escape it). I don't see her doing more damage than GG (res shred + passive damage scaling tremendously with aspd) but more damage isn't what we need out of new operators. I'm glad to see the chaos she brings, and stationary priority target is definitely a welcomed new gimmick.
We already got gimmick that just badly designed like Sleep, and Fear isn't a consistent gimmick even when I agree it fits Lappland thematically. It's just matter of time they make bosses immune to Fear like they did to many other crowd control effects like stun. The biggest problem I have is why the fuck they make one of the craziest swordfighter a fucking caster?
@@fz_dracohart1255 Fear is broken as of now, permastalling bosses is a viable strategy when you can't DPS their 2million HP (though Lappalter will probably need both aspd and status duration to be as reliable as Nymph). Technically Chen alter is also a swordmaster, yet got to be a sniper. I don't really mind the class, tho I'd have loved her to be a fast redeploy along Texalter.
@@ipatchymakouli415 There's really no need for overcrowding the fast redeploys. There's Texas Alter for arts damage and crowd control and Yato Alter for physical damage. Now there's Crownslayer for some utility. It would be, quite frankly, a waste for Lappland to also be a fast redeploy. Most likely you'd only bring her in place of Texas Alter or if you don't actually need her because the map is simply too easy, so you can have a useless unit for thematic fun. Though I do understand that Yato Alter is unavailable to newer players.
Depending on the numbers, she could be a boss killer, or utility operator that controls mobs with fearbl using s2. Lets hope its the latter since its get boring with another boss killer.
I'm sure using her for auto deploy will be hell incarnate but at least she can be happy spreading chaos now, and on paper all of her skills seem to be usefull(rip mastery materials i guess) Second tallent seems a bit underwhelming, i hope that it's will be more like Eyja's tallent cause 1. Another random layer to queen of chaos where she can either give you helidrop suzu or penance s3 of completly troll you 2. Initial sp buff value (for me at least) is smth like S tier- vanguards A tier - almost helidropable units B tier - high sp costs or low sp recovery rate ops C tier - everyone else so Bagpipe's 6 sp only works so well cause it buffs the most important category it can buff, if Lappy'll get the same one it won't be the same value (unless Lisa's mom is new vanguard meta, like LapPipeGlia)
Faction buff nice, Lapland is one of my least liked Lupos but still a Lupo, so i will pull her no matter what but she has a creative kit which is nice.
I don't like s1 and s2, they are kinda go agaist what mech-accord casters represent as an archetype. And to simply put drone casters are more single-target than single target core casters. But for some reason lapalter has random targeting, so you have to get tricky to get all 3 drones to lock on one particular idle enemy for s1 and any target at all for s2(range expand doesn't help at all), and for s2 you really want to lock all drones on one enemy as fear part is chance based. Skill 3 is fine, but again, why multi-target?
The drones mechanic literally begs for hitting more than one enemy, and in fact, most mech-accord casters can attack more than one enemies. On skill, if the drones follow a target outside of their range, the drone will continue attacking said enemy while the caster will attack something else. Goldenglow's third skill compounds on it even more. You're going to be hard-pressed to keep her drones attacking the same enemy. The moment they explode, they are selecting a new target, which is often not the same one as they attacked previously. It's just more pronounced for Lappland since she's just outright random. But even then, for skill 1 it only applies to maps with idle enemies (and only until they are dead), and for third skill, if you use the skill at the right time, they will still attack the same (or very close) enemies. After all, if no matter where they are 'randomly' dropped, the closest enemy to all of them is the same one that leads the wave, they will all go for him anyway.
I think they leaned a bit too hard into the 'gimmicks for gimmicks' sake'. I'm generally not a fan of RNG talents and skills, they belong more on April Fools' operators like Conviction. She'll probably be powerful just from having an extra drone, but she might be a pain for consistent clears. For a highly anticipated limited operator, I would have liked something more focused. Thematically, Lappland, while unhinged, has always been laser focused on Texas, and Zaaro had concrete schemes and plans. Doing random sh!t for the hell of it undersells both characters.
That's what I think too. Lappland is good with Arts but she will never stay away from melee range. Seeing her being in ramged tile throws me off, In the worst possible class that is. At least make her an Arts Defender or whatever that in melee range. Arts Defender hasn't had any 6* anyways, and Lappland is always the brute to Texas' speed so the bulk of a defender will suit her It's all because Wisadel raising the bar stupid high that now every ops coming after her is all gimmicky shit with overcorrected kits. Fuck it Texalter is made meta while Lappalter is basically just made into gimmicky premium Nymph
No. 2nd Talent upgrade adding ASPD and ATK +100% after first skill activation. But knowing how shitty module is ASPD you got probably only chump change like 6 ASPD or something
@@lscprojekt8013 Texas let her win, that's what older siblings do. Yes I know their not related but Lappland just reminds me of Texas annoying younger sister.
@@phantomblade89 No, she didn't [The sound of weapons clashing fills the park. No tricks, no fooling around. Just like how Lappland did not lose to Texas seven years ago because she was weaker. They were evenly matched from the beginning. But now, having said goodbye to the famiglia, her will is no weaker than Texas's. Either may win, and either may lose.] [Eventually Lappland overpowers Texas...]
"seems so strong" i don't think she's at Mlynar, Logos or Walter type of level... I wanted both my wifes to be top tier but it seems only one got there
Tbh if I haven't been waiting for her for 5 years I'd skip as well. From a madlass swordfighter to a fucking crowd control caster with no RES shred in a game that hates caster is just a willing sabotage on HG's part. Really infuriating considering Texalter is handed meta position on silver plate and the one that contendes to her level is reduced to gimmicky stuff
