there were so many times that I thought "oh if only I could block these flying enemies then it'd be so much easier" that I'm actually kinda glad they're making a subclass for it
As I read that she could block aerial enemies, my minds ear was flooded with the baleful, joyful sound of helicopter blades and Fortunate Son as I imagined her mercilessly gunning down the hovering dublinn dorks.
next April Fools op confirmed! Like U-official, maybe his talent is that he can only be deployed on holes, or gains flying when he is. Maybe make him a 2star
I feel like these two new subclasses (the other one being elemental defender) have huge potential and the 6*s for them will definitely be really good, unlike hunters or crushers that need crutches in their characters kits in order to just work.
She gets a new buff/effect called Airborne, which states that the operator cannot block ground units, and ground units can't hit/target her and can block aerial units
given the circumstances, they probably would create aerials mobs that have reduced damage taken unless blocked. either way, it's really nice to see new archetypes. makes the game feel new
There's one thing that I'm wondering about. When she blocks drones can Vina Victoria S3 hit them (can attack enemies blocked by allies within Talent 1's effect range). This could be a usefull synergy.
Words cannot describe how happy I am to have a new subclass that does something so interesting, without any real downsides as far as I can tell. Weird niche ops are my favorite thing, and I'm fine playing around weird built in downsides to kits as the world's #1 spuria simp and avid crusher enjoyer, but to have an op that just does something cool like this without qualifiers is really nice.
I don't think it's that niche to be honest. A unit that can turn off their block count while still continue attacking, and that can deal with flying enemies to boot, seems like something you could use in a lot of scenarios. Especially for ones with skills that are very lenient on picking when to keep them on or off (mode-change skills are just ideal for this).
@@kikixchannel I mean, she doesn't turn off her block count, the subclasses whole gimmick is that they can block aerial enemies. That aside, I frankly consider all anti air pretty niche. I pretty rarely use marksman snipers these days and still basically never find myself in need of a dedicated anti air unit. I think the only unit that's made me bust out the marksmen recently was the freeze drones on a certain main story stage challenge mode, and that's not really a situation that would be solved by an aerial blocker either.
@@Ezekiel_Allium She can block air units, but she cannot block ground units. Most units on a map are ground units, and even when there are many air units, they tend to cover only a small part of the droppable map. In other words, it is in most cases you could use her, turning off her block.
@@kikixchannel I'm having trouble articulating this, but I see her flying as her essentially becoming a high-ground unit, and those don't block at all. I'm seeing her more as like a sniper with extra features. Plus, she only flies while her skill is active, meaning you can still block when she's on the ground, and you're presumably going to wait until there's a ranged unit to activate her skill right? I dunno, I have a hard time seeing it as any sort of "sacrifice" because it's her doing something no one else can.
@@Ezekiel_Allium Huh?! Nothing you wrote has anything to do with what I wrote. I said this *archetype* is one where you can turn off block. I never said anything about ranged units and I didn't specifically mean this character alone. There's nothing in common between this archetype and high-ground units, because these units *can* block. Offskill. High-ground units cannot block at all (aside from very specific maps). There's no picking for them. There is for this. If you need a ground blocker, you leave them on the ground. If you don't, you launch them up if there's a benefit. Of course, this depends on stats on ground (if they even have ground block, whether they even have enough stats to make a difference off-skill etc.) and how much freedom you have to turn on and off the skill. But that's got little to do with the potential that this class has that I mentioned.
For me, the best revelation out of 5.5 cn anni is honestly the addition of this archetype. Not necessarily because of the operators or the sub class itself, but as you said "unlocking the 3rd dimension in AK". I think it's a much needed expansion so that they can modify maps in the future with more drones type variation so that the difficulty in the game will stay as we have so far: not being reliant on statistics increment.
Being able to block airborne enemies could be nifty, though a lot of stages have them pathing almost strictly through undeployable tiles so it kind of limits an archetype that already has limited use cases.
number 1: she's hot. number 2: her class genuinely looks like it can be really cool and contrail herself could be strong for a 4*, considering the range expand and actually coherent passives also yeah her s1 is an on eploy skill, it doesn't have borders like passive skills do
She doesn't make sense, Marksmen sniper exist to specialized on anti-air. Most of the stages with air unit also have designated range tiles specifically for them. There aren't a lot of stage with drones and ground tiles combined and even if they do, her role is too specific that its covered by other generalized operator like Agent, Lord Guard, Sentinel, and Puller and all of the range tile unit. If they exist to tank and stall air units, perhaps that would make sense.
There are some stages where the sniper slots are too far or too few for a lot of fliying enemies like IS 4 bosses with lots of collapals like the demon's blade or that stage in IS 2 where there are a lot of balooms; Lord Guards, Sentinel Defenders, RB6 "melee" operators, Texas alter and Yato X Kirin may deal with them, but not as effective as Contrail, I say.
I'M SO HYPED YO, I have so many questions I wanna test right away, Can Hiedi and Standard bearer module affect her block count? can Roberta device work on her? How can other ops or mechanics interact with her
Bruh, the drones from pyrolisis left a trauma on me, since then i built 2 OPs just for the sake of dealing with invisibility, having a new OP to deal with oddities like invisible drones is way to nice... suspicious even...
1:05 The Idea Is --> HG Are Gonna Releasing Drone With S+ Movement Speed Stats Which Have 100% Physical + Arts Dodge Whenever HP Is Below 50% 😂 In Other Words, You Need To Block This Kinda Drone 😂 Because Either Stun Or Slow Or Bind Have Limited Duration, Block Doesn't 😂
@Sephiko I hope they create a variety of solutions with the next one, chemtrail would of fixed so many problems with CCB1.. it hurts After I learned how events are planned in Gacha game CC is a must in every year for a resource in sink
