Obsidian can at least grind through tier 7 and 6 tanks with this piece of shit I lost a hull down fight against a Tiger P from 150 meters, because I couldn't hit the cupola with the garbage gun, while the Tiger P had no issue hitting his shots

If someone shits on your doorstep it's technically a free gift, but I don't see any reason to thank them. WG made this tank awful and even sabotaged the sell value. Fuck them, there was no need to make it this bad and the main effect is doing to be flooding the top tiers with people who have never reached t9 - and they will have a terrible time be be discouraged from playing again.

I will not judge this tank before it comes out. I remember when ppl evaluate tiger maus as an op from its armor, type 63 like "wtf is this tank"and obj 752 as a bad tank. Nowadays they have diferent opinions. I just have to say it is free and since i have a lot of tanks is 1 more for the collection 😊

I'm enjoying watching all the new players with Pattons swarm open fields like tier 2 gameplay... That being said, if played as a pure support tank, I think the Patton can be okay. Most people focus their attention on the better tanks, so sometimes you can get away with weird situations.

tank is playable and that is it. WG will give something good to most players only if they make some kind of mistake. I think it is still a cool gesture from them to give away a tier IX tank for free. They could put it in a slot machine like last year.

If they gave it monster dpm, like base 2800-3000, while having bad gun handling, bad armour and low vision. It would make it somewhat balanced. Even with 2800 base dpm, it would still be just okay. I’d say base 3.000 would be justified

Have you seen the first shot on (visible) Grille in the last battle? The shot seemed to go underneath Grille into the water but after a delay it hit eventually. Maybe it floated and Grille drove into it :)

I'm thankful and am a Tank Collector, a tier 9 tank is awesome and all but I just wish WG made it usable. However I do good in the tanks that are supposed to suck and am weird like that so maybe shooting all premium this one will be good for me lol

Yep, I did a comparison with my tier 8 renegade and it was lacking in all areas except slightly better penetration. Decided to sell it as that cupola in tier 9 and ten battles sticks out like a sore thumb. 1000 credits ffs!! I am confident that this very welcome present will be a rarity on the battlefield. At least the bright xmas wrapping will make me chuckle every time I am perusing through my garage.

This will become the super hellcat on tier 9. The only ones playing it will be crappy bots that can't afford another tier 9 tank or use it to level their crews. Yet you will instantly know you are at a disadvantage with them in your team. Just like super hellcats.

Surprisingly people aren't mentioning it has a few benefits over the Patton 152 hull armor over the Patton's 101.6. Standard ammo 242 pen VS 218. 120 caliber VS 105. Standard has higher shell velocity. Better terrain resistances. A lot of horrible drawbacks like the MASSIVE 600 DPM difference. That all being said it is a Patton and there are a lot of bad ones like the Chinese, German, Patton KR, and Tier 9. It is not unplayable and has some improvements. It is still the 3rd best Patton after the 2 tier 10s. :P

The extra pen and extra hull armor makes it better in my opinion. Though the Tumor on top is a lot worse then the tech tree version. 218 pen is rough to use at the distance you have to sit back. The ":P" means while it is an honest opinion there is a certain amount of sarcasm. The tech tree Patton was an incredibly horrible grind because the guns before the top gun are borderline unplayable.

The tech tree patton sure has gotten power crept over the years but it's still decent, and definitely way better than this garbage. There's no way anybody would choose this over the tech tree patton maxed out

Wargame gave everyone (that claims it) a FREE ' so it cost nothing, zero a gift' Tier 9 USA Medium Tank that is as good if not better than the Tech Tree version ~ as it's a free Xmas present to every player it's a fantastic and unexpected Xmas gift from WG that never usually does this kind of thing - so after watching Skills RU-vid video it's not perfect! and how could it ever be its FREE! So as a support and sniper & flanker it 'will' be a lot of fun, .. and remember Skills loves to spam the gold premium HEAT ammo which is "significantly better penetration" than the tech tree Tier 9 version, and gold ammo spamming always will be expensive (unless you're a CC that has 100s millions in credits

This is really similar to the *OLD* version of the M46 Patton. Then they did a ton of buffs to the M46 to make it what it is now. I will likely dislike this tank, as it doesnt have any redeeming feature. Bad mobility, bad gun handling, bad DPM, bad armor. As long as a tank has two of these four things, it tends to be ok. But when it lacks all of them, its just another tank for the collection.
