I've been following your journey on Instagram and it's been so exciting and inspiring to watch. I have the same dream to move abroad to the US and complete my residency there. Sometimes I get so discouraged by the many possible obstacles I would encounter as an IMG and I often wonder if I'll ever achieve these goals since no one around me is doing it. Aah I absolutely love how you talk and how expressive, honest and genuine you are! I'm just a 1st year HBSc student in Canada with no idea if I'll do med but I still watch your videos because of how sweet you are and how you present yourself! Hate comments will always be there but look at the 10x people who love you! If you could perhaps collab with someone who knows about becoming a doc in the US/Canada starting off in a canadian/US university, things about the MCAT, timelines etc, I'd really appreciate that!

Love your video representing life as a doctor in NY. In Malaysia's health system, after a medical student graduated, we have to go through 2 years of mandatory training as what we called as 'housemanship' training. Definitely, its very challenging time for every doctors but IsyaAllah you will be doing great in your residency sister. Best wishes!

Hi Salma! It really depends on how well you balance your time! There is definitely time for extra curricular and having a part time job during medical school - but you don't want to over burden yourself and burn out! So make sure you manage your time well and don't sacrifice your studies too much!
