Today I share with you my first Le Labo City Exclusive but which one did I purchase in the end? Now that September has passed and the Le Labo City Exclusive event is over I will go through every fragrance in the Le Labo City Exclusive range and describe why I did/didn't purchase that fragrance. In the video I give details on every City Exclusive fragrance describing the reasons of why I did/didn't purchase the scent. I also rank every Le Labo city exclusive in order of preference for which fragrance I ended up purchasing.

I’m surprised I got my guess right!!!! It was my very first guess when I saw your title; I clearly remember your explanation when you reviewed it for the first time and I can see how personal its fragrance to you. But I didn’t think you would really purchase it! I don’t know why I’m happy with your decision 😂 It is the scent my mom will always go for and its a really good one but I purchased Gaiac instead lol

Haha amazing work. You know me too well! Yeah it is a scent that is just very visceral and takes me back to my childhood. I can’t quite explain it. I think because of the memories it conjures up it is a scent that is very comforting. I do really like Gaiac. I can imagine it to be a scent that is really calming.

@@SophisticatedObsession Yes.. Its Gaiac 10’s calming scent that I’m a huge fan of. And after using it for two months, its longevity is nothing close to the best but I like how it suddenly hits you when the least you expect it, throughout the day. Here we had to make our city exclusive pre-order in the store prior to city exclusive month, and the time I made my pre-order, Citron 28 was no longer in the order stock for both sizes 😂 It was actually my second option if Gaiac 10 was sold out.

LOVE your top 3! I agree about the location thing! I’m totally saving vanille for when I’m back at Paris. Was thinking of getting citron too but I’ve got way too many floral and citrus based perfumes and been wanting to venture out to the ‘manlier’ woodsy earthy notes. So mousse de chene it is! (And my first le labo, eeek!) Sad story tho, when I wore it around my partner’s family, they asked, “who’s wearing the sports heat rub thing??” when I walked in. I died a little lol. I then reminded myself that they’re not fragheads (niche ones at least) and I bought it for myself 😤

Oh mate thank you so much for your comment. Glad you liked my top fragrances. Yeah I can totally understand where you are coming from with wanting more masculine fragrances. Mate, that story is heart breaking 😂💔😭 To be honest, screw it. If you love the scent, you wear it! It took me a little while to get over that sort of fear but fragrances are so personal you have to get it for yourself. So spray it and love it bud!🙌🙌

Great video. Thanks for sharing. I have vanille 44. Amazing scent however, longevity is not great. Otherwise, I like most of the city exclusive scents.

I’m late to this video however, given your ranking on Another 13 I think that we may have similar scent taste (hah!). I just ordered a sample to see what I think in comparison to Cedrat 37.

If you buy the fragrances from the city itself rather than online in September are they still way more expensive than the standard le labo fragrances? I live in the UK and really want the paris one but if it’s almost £100 less if I take a trip to Paris I’ll wait until I’m next there!

I know, I think it was just very different to other scents in my collection hence why I went and got that one. But I was very tempted with Amsterdam and London though.

Hello I also bought Citron 28 and I love it. Unfortunately I only smelled Tubereuse early October so was too late to get it as well. I fell in love with it. I sent an email to Le Labo to see if they would consider changing their policy due to people being unable to travel but of course they sent a negative reply :(

Hey! That is so annoying that they don't bend even a little bit due to the circumstances but I guess they have to be fairly strong willed to retain the integrity of the city exclusives. I am so glad you love Citron as much as I do! I am living in it at the moment.

It was in the city exclusive event every September on the Le Labo website.

i imagined that most Le Labo would be super long lasting . So if i ever end up buying in the longer future need to be carefull . i also wish they would do discounts at least sometimes !

Yeah I was quite surprised by some of the performances of these to be honest. I did expect them to perform a little better. Yeah Le Labo are really tight on the discount thing. However Harrod’s are doing 10% off for members this weekend so if you sign up you can get 10% off a Le Labo.

I would say it is a brand that does take a bit of getting used to. Years back when I ordered the full discovery set I was a little taken back by the fragrances but after a small adjustment period I really started to fall in love with them all.

Vanille 44 is nothing like TF Tobacco Vanille. 44 is floral vanilla, there is nothing floral about Tobacco Vanille. Did you even smell this? 🧐

Hey bud, thank you for your comment. Fragrances are very personal when trying them in skin. When I tried this one I got a very similar reaction to that of Tobacco Vanille. Whilst I could smell differences I was not going to purchase this one at a huge price point when I have another fragrance in my collection that I deem to be similar. There were other fragrances in the Le Labo line that I just preferred and I would want to spend my money on. Hope that makes sense.
