MY FIRST MARSHALL AMP! MARSHAL JVM 205H 

Dope! My dad is a huge fan of Marshall's and has a JCM-2000 Triple super lead 100 as his main amp. I've always tried to hate on Marshall and be different then my dad but everytime I plug in to it is just so beastly I just fall in love. Love the content man! You keep inspiring me to practice and keep on it as a guitar player.

Boneyards, hell yeah brother. Sick tones, awesome playing. A Marshall is somewhere in my future, stoked for when that day comes.

Marshall's are awesome every time I plug into one I say to myself why do I bother with whatever else I was playing through at the time. As I incorporate modeller units I just go through and see what amp I like and I aways land on a Marshall. They Sound awesome and they mix well live . They Don't have to be too loud so you don't have to fight with those issues , work perfectly with your volume knob if you use it alot, and any guitar you plug in generally sounds awesome. Sure and steady and just does well through out the spectrum for me.

I have a JVM410h .I've owned quite a few Marshalls over 40 years , but I really love the JVM for its versatility.

Hey Ray I’m new here so hi! Lover you positive vibe keep on shining loving Killer tones and tight playing. I had one of these in the 100w wth 1960a cab way back when I didn’t know much at all in fact-not even my preferred style was basically doing classic rock covers. Anyways I couldn’t get anything out of it back then. Now days the SG is gone and it’s a Schecter Hellraiser and since watching all you vids and dialling my DSL20h in I think I may get another one! 50w though 😂 Full Circle kind of. Finding your style getting your tone right is a game changer and takes you to the magic place that only a high gain chugs can! Question, what cab is that and what Celestion do you prefer? V30 Green Back or the Gt be awesome if you could talk about that. I’m using the EVH Celestion in a custom 2x12 but might get a 4x12 and mix some V 30s in there. Marshall makes some great sounding amps. I'll add one to the collection someday, but in the meantime, I've still got my trusty ol' Mesa DC5.

The only Marshall I have left is my trusty VS8100, which is an absolute monster with an SD-1 in front. Prefer it to my 6505+ on lower volumes actually… Would love to try a JVM, your tone was spot on 🤘🏼

Nice. Every man and his dog is running an Orange or the like these days and sound the same. Love Marshalls. Everyone associates them with dad rock these days and fail to see the potential to shape your own tone. Have you looked at the 410h? MONSTROUS sounding amp. Anyway killer tone you have going three. 🤘

Have the same amp.. I’m gonna try to get my Helix HX effects unit programmed to work the midi of the Marshall. Should make for a formidable sound machine. Right now I’m using a old 1936 Marshall cab.. been debating on swapping speakers out.

What kind if pickups are those?

I have owned a ton of different amps and I also never owned a proper Marshall. I got a JVM 410 a few months ago and it's more than I expected for sure. Absolutely nuts!

Hell yeah, man! Congrats! Love the JVM series - they'll get you just about any sound you want and are super articulate. Bucket list amp for sure! If you get the chance at some point in the future, try out a JVM410H. It's got even more options (clean, crunch, overdrive 1, and overdrive 2 channels, all with three gain stages each). OD1 is British-voiced, with a higher frequency mid focus, while OD2 is more American-voiced with a lower frequency mid focus.

My favorite EL amp of all time. Just so incredible and I have to say- the tone you’ve dialed in sounds incredible in your mix.

Been playing a jvm 205 h half stack for years ..I tell em all....keep your evh el34 and your friedmans ...I'll keep my jvm. Try throwing two gt1275s and two vintage 30s in that cab and you will thank me later . The Jvm I s a high gain monster that was introduced back in 2007 and it still holds up to the high gain amps of today .

I've loved this amp ever since I heard Robert Renman demo it, which was around 2009-2010. It covers the history of Marshall, from rich Bluesbreaker-type tones all the way to modern metal.

Great amp. Marshall builds them great. Have a 410H and a 100 watt Jubilee. Good stuff for sure and great playing. Add to your list Edward Van Halen, Randy Rhoads, Vivian Campbell, Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Peter Frampton, Paul Gilbert, John Sykes, Kirk and James from Metallica in the early and best days, Doug Aldrich, Adrian Vandenburg, Dave Mustaine, Jimi Hendrix, Pete Townsend, all of the seventies bands with good tone etc.........

Personally I thought Marshall only did rock type of gain, boy I was wrong. This thing chuggs like hell!

I was never a huge Marshall fan but man those JVMs.... I'm definitely budgeting for a 410!

Just recently got a DSL1 head for my little bedroom rig and have been really in love with it - does rock blues and metal great, can hit some very brutal tones with just the red channel

I have that same head. I have it paired with a 2x12 Harley Benton cab with the v30s. I love it. I've had issues with a lot of extra noise though.

Sweeeeeeet!!!!! I've owned the 410 version of this since 2007 right after they came out.. I also own budda , revv, randall, and the jvm owns all of them.. I still absolutely love it.. infact just yesterday I swapped out 2 of the g12t75's in my 412 cab for 2 v30's and now it's even better.. anyway great choice.. ur sounding bad ass for sure..

The JVM is the perfect metal amp.

I have a JVM210, a JCM2000 dsl 50, a 1982 jcm 800, and a dsl20hr. It's probably sacrilege to say it, I think the jvm210 is my favorite. It's definitely the one I use the most.

This is my second Marshall I've ever bought, and it's my favorite so far. The tone on the orange channel boosted with a ts9 is very tight and aggressive. Great tones SMR 🤘💀

What cabinet are you using?

Sounds really cool. Would love to hear the vola with the Fortin 33 as the boost. That pedal seems to boost low tunings the best.

I hate when people say Marshalls aren't good for metal!

Always wanted to own a Marshall someday. That JVM sounds great. The only one I've really tried was a Vintage Modern head and I wasn't super impressed by that amp. I've seen demos of the amp before and since and I thought it sounded good. Perhaps it was the cabinet it was plugged into at the store?

I got my first Marshall back in 92. It was a 2203. Slammed the front with a Rat and BOOM! Metal.

Its certainly got a thick low mid and mid range. Its almost got that cocked wah thing going but much more tamed. Still not a fan of the highs but I like that you have them kinda tucked back a bit. This amp could be a great studio tool. Kinda wondering how this head would sound on other cabs.
