Okay coming back after watching! I love it!! But hear me out, the boarders of the windows painted white and then add like a popsicle stick gutter on the edges of the roof painted white would make it really look more put together!! I love it so far! You’re killing it! You got this ❤
Amazing! Some ideas to make it more 80s: white lattice for ivy, wreath on door, wicker furniture on porch (that will allow you to put some 80s floral fabric on the cushions) and kid’s bike thrown on the front lawn. Can’t wait to see the inside!
You should watch Bentley house minis if you don’t! They are currently making a Beetlejuice house and has made the Adam’s family house in the past (as well as other dioramas from their mind)
Yeah the mdf expands when you paint it, so it's better to glue it together before decorating it, hope this helps in the future. Great job as usual, much love and craftiness from Ireland, x
I love love your shingles. It turned out great. Now one thing for next house. Dry fit the walls together first. This helps you know how things fit together, do you need to sand a little off a tab or is it all good etc. It also gives you a minute to think about how to proceed as well as lets you take a pencil and mark the outside and maybe where you want your siding to stop. By the time you are finished this is going to be the best house ever!
This house is turning out so cute :) I can't wait to see more of these! I look forward to Sundays, your videos are equal parts entertaining and inspiring :) Also, I love Grey Gardens. If the Wheelers don't move into your miniature house, maybe Big and Little Edie will. Or maybe it could be from a new spin off: Strange Gardens :)
I'm so excited about The Best in Miniature Show! I can't wait to see all you do (I already loved your couch) And the 80's house sounds neat, but I do want to ask, will you also be making other houses for other time periods? (50's, 60's ect.......)? Thank you for such great video's P.S. I can't believe all the cheap mini things for your house you found 😮 I wish I was their (I never find anything at that good a price)
Love love love miniatures!! Great job for first time! I really hope to see more minis I am in love with your couch. I've wanted to do miniatures forever! Since I was a kid inthe 70s when I read The Borrowers I've dreamed of making miniatures. Why I haven't? Long long story but I want to live vicariously through you and yours. Keep showing miniatures ❤❤❤please please please!!!!🏘
If you need inspo for the house, I HIGHLY recommend watching Bentley House Minis’ Fairfield project! It’s a bunch of skeletons living in a very 70s style house and I know you’ll love it! Not only that, but there’s also videos she’s posted about supplies and how to get started in miniatures. I’m so excited for this series!
Using the sandpaper as roofing material was such a good idea. The sandpaper looks like asphalt tiles. Theres a house near where I live that resembles the house you're assembling. It's been there since at least 1980, but is a one story. It looks like something from Massachusetts or Connecticut in the early 1880's.😊 BTW, I live in a suburb of Atlanta. It's a cool, but unusual house.❤
I’m laughing so much at the Princess Diaries audio 😂💀 I love every one of your videos and can’t wait to watch your miniatures adventure! Love from Scotland xx
I immediately thought of the Beetlejuice movie when you said a black void in the attic. They had the ghosts reside in the attic, but, what if your miniature had a version of the little town your house might be in? Anyway, looking forward to seeing what you choose to do!
Michelle, while out walking today, I saw a duplicate of the house you made! Same color, same strange windows in the second floor! It had a weird half roof and porch, and you totally did the right thing making the porch and roof go across the front!!
I think the house was meant to be displayed against a wall, so they cut corners to keep the price down. You are encouraging me to get back into miniatures. I have several Greenleaf kits in the garage, waiting for me to make something with them.
You are so unique and I love this video I had to subscribe❤The house turnt out so good not sure if your upto the suggestion but it would be cute if you crocheted mini animals as pets
I love this and am looking forward to the rest of the mini series! I can imagine a little wooden rocking chair on the porch area with a teeny crochet blanket in the making or a crochet cushion on the chair would be cute ☺️
This is such fun! Just a thought about the door - remember where it is when you do the inside. I think the reason it didn't have one is to make the inside easier and more fun to decorate so it might be in the way when you do that room. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the series 😍
Oh, and maybe stagger the planks for the siding, like actual siders (if that's what they're called-lol) so that you do no have that "seam" in the siding. Otherwise, great first house! I'm "thinking" perhaps there is no door jamb, because (I'm guessing) that maybe the house is for displaying against a wall? -I'm no carpenter though!) looking forward to seeing the next house!
