Your first bike being a 1K is good. 2019 Gsxr 1K was my first bike also. Always remember we learn at different paces. I know the newer Gsxr bikes have a setting that can change the motor to where it’s like a 600. I sold my 2019 Gsxr and got great S1K 24. Whole different world 😂 ride safe
I started on a 2012 R1 and just Left it in B mode which is like for riding in rain!! It’s all in your wrists bro!! Take your time and learn at your own pace!! Stay Safe 🫡
Man, you’re really about to become a statistic. If you’re smart, you’ll quit while you’re ahead. I’ve ridden everything from cbr250’s to zx14r’s for years, and everyday I’m happy I started on a smaller bike. Safety is never a waste of money. That’s a terrible justification.
hope you dont become a statistic starting on "too big" of a bike... i dont see a point in getting a 1000 unless you can ride it the way it was designed to be ridden but thats just my take. have fun, be humble, and be safe. Smaller margin of error is the only difference between a smaller cc bike and a big cc bike. practice swerves, emergency stops, and slow speed maneuvers. im a person that advocates starting small and earning your way up to bigger bikes which is why im able to ride my 675 at full power everywhere and everytime i ride it, rain or shine, but that isnt everyone's mindset. surviving on a 1000cc is easy, but riding it the way it was engineered isnt. @ShanDiegoMG prob what he meant is talkin while riding, since he's a beginner, he's doesn't understand the bike 100% and while hes talkin thinkin what he wanna say hes not as focus. where if he just focus on riding, he can understand what he's doing wrong and what needs to be corrected. If he wants to motovlog he could record the ride focus, then do an voice over to talk.
4 months in on 2 wheels, I used to stall the bike often, turns out I was resting my foot on the rear brake wondering why it's not taking off at the stoplight. 😂 Found out after testing myself on a big empty parking lot I'm looking at my hands and feet placement. I changed the foot gear pedal and rear brake pedal to how I want it with two 10 mm that makes it much more comfortable when shifting

Man, do yourself a favour, put the gixer away in the garage for a while....... go get a cheap 600 like a hornet or fazer. Go out, rag it, and play!! U will learn alot faster on a less intimidating, more forgiving bike. It will also be a lot more enjoyable as u will find yourself using the bike to nearer its full potential, which will feed your enthusiasm. A gixer thou really aint the bike to discover your limts on😂 Its much more fun to ride a slow bike at its fastest (because of its limits) than it is to ride a fast bike slow(because of ur limits). Ive got 34yrs of riding behind me and my k8 still feels too fast(though i seem to use a different part of the rev couter compared to you!)😂😂
Buddy you just put put’in that poor bike around. Get off the 1,000cc go get yourself a 400 or something until you can hammer the crap out of it. Throttle and brakes. You shouldn’t be on that bike man honestly. We’re talking about dropping the bike at a stand still and you’re talking about clutch engagement like you just discovered fire. Get a 400
Yo fuck with everyone is saying . Absolutely zero of these people maxed out their 1000cc bikes when they first got it . Everyone starts the same way no matter what. Buying a bike for $6000 just to learn on it for 6 months and then spend another $25k on a new bike just to have to learn on that one is dumb . You’re obviously not going to go 180mph when it’s your first bike so you’ll be fine . You’re driving safe and people bitching for what ? Pissing me off .
You don't learn to ride a bike in 6 months. I mean really learn. I've had mine for 2 months and still haven't reached the bike's limits. I'm learning to push my bike on canyons and hope to track it soon. I'm learning fairly quickly, but still don't see myself wanting a 1000cc+ bike for a long time. Smaller bikes teach you to ditch bad habits and have a good time doing it. Riding a slow bike fast is way funner than babying a bike that you fear.
Definitely spend some money and time taking additional safety courses and things like that. Might want to look up champ school... This will help you from becoming a statistic because yes a 1,000 and first bike do not belong in the same sentence
The issue is that without experience, you won't realistically know where your limits are. And a liter bike is not the bike to be discovering your limits on, because chances are, that discovery will be made a moment before you're flying into a ditch.
