After years of dreaming and saving I finally got it. My 1970 Chevy Nova with a 454 big block. It wasn't easy and far from perfect but this is story of how I brought this baby home and back to life. This is my first muscle car and certainly wont be my last. Hope you enjoy this crazy adventure of how it all went down!

Sweet ride absolutely beautiful . I sold my 67 Chevy Nova and now I’m restoring a 63 Chevy Nova just cut my floor out and the new pans looked great . Can’t wait to put a small V8 in it . Congratulations on your new Chevy 👍

Now it's up to you to keep it that nice. Sitting in my garage I have a 1966 Impala SS and a 1968 Chevelle 396 SS. Both of which I did frame off restorations.

@@moliverallen The 66 has a 427 out of a 69 Chevelle SS and the 68 is a numbers matching. With the OEM drive train. The only thing not original is the brakes are disk now.But I live in the rust belt so only get to drive them for 5or6 months a year. The 66 has 550 hp at the wheels and will pass anything but a gas station. Around 6mpg and premium only.

This is my dream car too. Having a 3rd Gen Nova with a big block, cowl, and stunning paint job I bet that thing turns some heads. Congrats and thanks for sharing. I guess I need to start looking in Atlanta too LOL!

Looks nice. Only thing I’d recommend changing would be to add tail pipes. The dumps get old, makes the exhaust note really bass-y and drone on the highway, especially if it’s your daily. Plus keeps the exhaust gas and heat out of the cab. M2C

Nice Nova Morgan. One thing I'd do is swap that ford 8.8 rear out with a 12 bolt. Not real sure what they were thinking putting a mustang rear in a chevy. Purist I know but it completes what it actually is. Nice car classic nonetheless 👌

And leaking water. It looked kinda rough underneath as well. Gotta be REEEEALLY careful when buying a classic car. That car hasn't actually been restored. Its what's called "hitting the high bnb points". Meaning,....a very good paint job over decent bodywork. Throw a bone stock 454 in it with Flowmaster mufflers. Basically exactly what you said,....a home job.

And you didn't bother to fix your coil springs? Man...your mechanic failed you. Also it appears you have a 10 bolt rear end. Be easy on it, otherwise have a boom, dust pan and a tow truck on speed dial.
