So sorry to hear about Cera! I don’t know much about chameleons but I know they often crash and die without much warning, I’m sure you didn’t do anything wrong and cared for her the best you could. As a side note, I love the names you give your animals! Very creative and I enjoy when I know where the names came from. My favorite names are definitely Cersei and Mazikeen.

Aww.. I'm so sorry about your chameleon. They're so challenging to keep. I was lucky enough my male reached a whopping 8 years old. He was so amazing but I don't think I'd ever get another one after my experience.
One day I hope to have a reptile/bird room with species I really want to work with, and who all can be housed in a room setting like this. You're an inspiration because I can tell you genuinely picked species you wanted, and you knew how to care for :D

Thank you! 🥰 Lots of reminders and calendar alerts in my phone mostly haha. I also have a white board in the room where I keep track of when all the snakes eat. Even with all that, I'll still forget to order feeders on time and have to run down to the pet store to get emergency bugs 😅

I hope you don’t mind a question…I just received my two 4x2x2 enclosures by Custom Reptile Cages. Since they’re what you’re using, I’d like to get your help as far as the heating. Are you using ceramic heat emitters or the heat panels? I have two of their hoods so using the lamp style with heat emitter bulbs isn’t a problem. But I’ve seen some people say that those heat panels you mount to the ceiling are better. Then others say the bulbs are. Ugh! Can you tell me what heating and lighting you’re using? And I will be using UVB even though they theoretically don’t need it, it won’t hurt. Thank you so much and I’m sorry this is so long!!❤️

I just got bearded dragon it’s 2 months can you please help me I’m fighting to keep humidity down temp is good I got a Eva dry dehumidifier to put in tank right now it’s in small 10 gallon tank till get bigger I got 55 gallon but decided use 10 till grows some. What kind of lights do I need make sure get proper lighting I got day light blue night light black temp ranges from 90-100 day 75-80 day humidity seem to go up during early morning and late night
Question. May seem odd, but how does your electrical bill look like with so many lamps hooked up. Not joking. I always wonder when I see set ups like this. I have right now 4 lamps hooked up and my moms afraid of how much electricity it uses. So she cut me off from adding to my "collection"😅
How do you setup outlets and extension cords? My extension cord sizzled out and I worry it was an issue with how many things were plugged into it and I don’t understand how other reptile keepers do it so easily without worry of it overheating.
I got a question, I’ve had my leopard gecko since like April ish maybe? And since mid November ish he hasn’t really came out much that’s bc of brumation tho right? He drinks water every few days at night but that’s it

Haha I actually have lived and Florida, and still visit. A few months ago when I went to Orlando, everytime we walked out of the hotel, so many anoles would scatter on the sidewalks 😅
chameleons are notoriously difficult and finicky to keep. temp and humidity and diet and and and. its a lot. and even if you do everything right they can still pass. its sad but i hope your not put off chameleons for ever. they really are adorable and rewarding to keep. all your other animals look super happy and healthy!

Hey Elle, I was wondering if you have problems with knats in your bioactive and soil tanks. I live in Florida and it's a struggle (I clean the tanks 1-2 a month so I know it's not because of dirtyness). If you do struggle with knats how do you deal with them? I am so sorry for your loss with Cera, sometimes things just happen and theres nothing you can do about it. Thank you so much, I love your videos! Edit: I also clean up the waste
Last summer was the first time I ever had issues with them. I just let the soil dry out a bit more than normal (where possible) between spraying down the tank. That seemed to work pretty well. I had begun to look into something called Mosquito Bits to get rid of them. But they were gone before I could do too much research on it. So that may be worth looking into as well 😊
So sorry you lost a friend. Chams are damn hard with how long they live even under the best circumstances. Your enclosures are very cool tho! I look forward to the update.
Thank you! 😁 I probably watch the hognose the most, because he's right at my desk. Lately I've been taking out Sterling (ball python) the most, because he's always at the glass. It's usually always him, Zsasz (bearded dragon), or Dexter (crested gecko), because they just come out when their doors open haha

When you're ready to try a chameleon again, you should work with Bill from Chameleon academy to see which species (and breeder) would be best for you. It's always easier to avoid bad experiences with an expert in your corner!
