I was checking out some of your merch.. you got a lot of cool s*** up on here.. I'm going to have to grab a couple T-shirts maybe send a couple to the family back east:-)
@Le sauce collector 😏 it gives flavor, lotta ppl do it. Its not necessary “fruit juice” but its citrus. He added orange and lemon juice. Citrus imo is the best flavor to have in a boil
This boil is done HELLA differently than the rest of the other videos I’ve seen; you NEED to collab with Stalecracker so he can teach you a few things. #notPlatinum
As a former Louisianan, u have to dump the whole seasoning container in seafood boil, especially if u have big seafood in it like lobster tails and crab legs. Everything needs to be soaked and have tons of flavor.
@@bigmike1547 might be because he's using lobster tail and king crab. If you season it to the point where you can't taste the sweetness of the meat why spend all that money on them anyways you know? For heavy seasoning I'd think you just want mussels/clams, shrimp, crawfish, sausage, and maybe a white fish.
Just a pro tip:The water is supposed to come to a boil first, and you drop your seafood when you see the seasoning start to stick to the side of the pot. That helps the seasoning stick to what's in the pot.❤
Tips from a southerner on how to do this right: Do NOT use citrus juices, use real citrus, juice them into it and add in the fruit. Trust me. Also, your boil seasoning ain't it dawg. Gotta get that Louisiana brand boil mix. The spread of seafood though, OUT OF THIS WORLD! Great stuff man. Let's see a take 2
It's a Northeast version, they have access to different ingredients with a different pallet, and from what I can tell he seasoned the fuck out of his boil, hell he knew to add orange juice most people just sprinkle old bay in some stale water. And yea I'm from down south too port Allen, baton rouge. I just travel a lot and try different types of cuisine, different pallets means different flavors, its never like what we're used to but giving it a try actually helps refine your own pallet and use of ingredients
For lack of a better word this first seafood boil truly is impressive but who would expect anything less from King Cuso. Sitting and eating that all day would indeed make one very content, keep it up legend!
best my ass. that ingredient is so messed up. just because you mix everything in doesn't mean it'll taste glorious lol I think you'll get diarrhea from eating that shit 😆
I really love the look on his face. He has such pride and joy for cooking, such passion. I really aspire to find something that makes me smile like that.
Yeah, if the poor guy isn't dragged down by all these people trying to correct him in the comments. Not everyone makes food the same way, and if they can't taste it, how do they know? I just feel bad for him. At least you have something positive to say. 😁
@@jessicafain6630 really wish there were more people like you, honestly. These people just gatekeep while being absolutely irredeemable or unbearable people. "# nOtPlAtiNuM REEEEE IM FROM LOUISIANA" I mean ya gotta feel bad for them however, with that weather, a heat stroke is pretty common lol.
Tip: that pack of zatarains seasoning is suppose to go in whole with the bag and all. When you break it open like that you’ll be eating chunks of the seasoning which doesn’t taste too good.
@@charlessmith3940 yeah but it’s food grade. The plastic is similar to Sous Vide cooking method where you place food in a plastic bag then cook it in boiling water.
One of my dreams is to try your food one day. Just literally ONE thing 😭 one creation and my life would be complete! Probably just like everybody else lmfao
