Welcome to my first ever sketchbook tour on RU-vid! In this relaxing 45 minute video, I'm going to be sharing artwork from five different sketchbooks; one is almost finished and the others are all in progress, but there's a lot of work to share! So make yourself a drink, get cosy, and enjoy. :) Intro ends at 04:22. In the intro I talk about my experience of working in sketchbooks and a little about the sketchbooks themselves.
Amazing sketchbook tour. To ensure I'm not afraid of a blank page or starting a new sketchbook I don't work in a sketchbook in order from page one and on...I grab my sketchbook, close my eyes and flip to whatever page my hand stops on...I often times then take a dirty paint brush or old paint off my palette and flick paint onto the page...so now my page isn't in order and it isn't clean so I'm no longer afraid ...really helps me❤. Anyway, great video, and thanks for sharing. Don't be afraid of a blank page...lol
Don't be scared of the blank page. Beautiful sketchbook tour. I cherish my sketchbooks. Over the last couple of years I started embracing my sketchbooks and now I totally love working in them.
Don't be scared of the blank page. Thanks for sharing your lovely sketchbooks. You achieved a lot in the limited time illustrations... I'm really slow🐌💜💫
Natasha, I am a person who rarely comments on videos but I just wanted to say how inspiring I am finding your videos, I have only been subscribed a couple of days and i am finding your videos so calming and I love them so much! I have kept a sketchbook sporadically but you're inspiring me to rediscover it and your advice "don't be afraid of a blank page" is so perfectly in tune with the sentiment I get from your channel. Thanks for another great video 😊
Don’t be scared of the blank page. Like you, I have many sketchbooks going and have not finished them. But I really enjoy working in all of them. I love your channel. Your art and voice is just so comforting. Thank you!
I’m such an introvert and use art as a coping mechanism tool in today’s “ interesting” world. I find your channel content so relaxing and inspiring. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent and all of the hard work you put into your channel. Keep up the amazing content ! You are my muse, Natasha. Wishing you continued success and happiness! Thank you once again and don’t be scared of the blank page!💕🎨
One of the reasons I adore your artwork is because it's so much like true Folk Art which has been my all time favorite as long as I can remember and I just turned 70. Even though I love it I don't have the patience or creativity to paint that way and found painting photo realistic portraits simpler because I didn't have to think or be imaginative. I do love loose watercolors too but everyone does it and it doesn't take a lot of thought either. It's just another style of painting. Tight details are very important in Folk Art styles and trying to paint loose doesn't really work for that. So please don't fuss about trying to get looser in your painting approach because your will lose that special charm that makes Folk Art so creative, extraordinary and special. Bottom line, don't listen to others opinions, just paint what you love to paint.
Don’t be scared of the blank page. I am someone who is now a little scared of working outside of my sketchbook, I never used to be but I love my sketchbooks so much that o struggle a little when trying to branch out. Loved the sketchbook tour, some lovely drawings and colour palettes.
Don’t be scared of the blank page! I first found you when released a video of you painting the moon in a sketch book which I loved! So great to see more of your sketch books ❤
Don't be scared of the blank page - Really enjoyed this Natasha - I'm a bit stuck today so watching your sketchbook tour has helped a little. Thank you for sharing.
I really enjoyed this video. Watched it 2 weeks ago on my tv and just now remembering to comment. Understand an artist wanting to try new things and increase their skills. But please know your current style is an ongoing refuge for me. It is the perfect antidote for the chaos and turmoil of present day life. I can always watch one of your videos to lift my spirits and calm my soul. Thank you so much for sharing it wit us all.🥰
Don’t’ be scared of the blank page! Love your sketchbook your! I have a few sketchbooks filled with a few drawings and paintings here and there. Your works are beautiful, detailed and even the timed sketches captured the essence of the scenes. Your arts are truly unique and your voice matches the mood of your paints perfectly!
Thank you for taking us to your lovely sketchbook tour.💞 I really enjoyed looking at every single pages you’ve shared.🫶🏻 Don’t be scared of the blank page.😉

Don't be scared of the blank page. I have stacks of sketchbooks and now it's on to filling them. I enjoyed my coffee break watching this and gathering motivation to work in my sketchbook!!
Don't be scared of a blank page! Natasha, I am greatful for this and as always feel very inpsired to create. You're an amazing artist with a distinct gorgeous style and even your sketches are perfect, to me anyway ❤️Thank you for sharing
Don't be afraid of the blank page! Thank you for sharing these--a fun mix of exploring, experimenting, playing, observing, and being in the moment, wherever you are.
Don’t be scared of the blank page! 😉This sketch book tour was Fabulously inspiring! Thank you so Much, Natasha! I do subscribe to Kriksis, Melanie Chadwick, and Sandi Hester as well- you All are so inspiring to me in my own artwork - God Bless you!
Don't be scared of the blank page! This was wonderful. I find your work so inspiring as I struggle to find my own style. Thank you for sharing your sketchbooks! I love that you choose different palettes for what you want to do.
Don't be scared of the blank page. Found you today, looking at older videos. Like what I see. I have subscribed and am looking forward to your next video. xx
I absolutely loved this tour of your sketchbooks, very informative, chatty and fun, and I can’t wait until your next sketchbook tour! It’s so fascinating to peek inside the art laboratory of an artists sketchbook. Thank you for sharing your creative process, and for being so generous with your thoughts, tips, techniques, and the stories behind the sketches ✍️ Don’t be scared of the blank page is great advice! 😊💝🎨✨📕✏️💡📚🖌️🤗😘 xxx
Thank you, Dominic! I love the thought of a sketchbook being like an artists' laboratory. :) I'm so glad that you enjoyed this peek inside mine! 🤗😘 xxx
Please, don`t be scared of the blank page! It's only paper. (I tell myself that a lot) Thank you for this video! I loved seeing all of it. The experiments, the successes, the not so succesful. It's art and it's all beautiful! I want to move in to any one of your cottages, and hopefully have a fox living nearby. Have a wonderful day. 🌻
Fabulous! Loved the tour. And yes! Don’t be scared of the blank page! Sometimes easier said than done lol. But you’ve given me some great inspiration! Thanks for sharing.
Don't be scared of the blank page. Your content is so relaxing and inspiring. I recently did a short video on my channel on how I use various sketchbooks for different things and why. Your content has helped me so much in falling in love with texture and deciding which materials I should invest in. Thank you so much for sharing!
Hi Natasha! This was a good video for me as I am sometimes reluctant to use my sketchbooks. The idea of painting over something I don't like was a bit of a breakthrough for me. It's really nice that you and Kriksis have joined up. I enjoy her work as well. I won't be intimidated by the blank page anymore!
Don't be scared of the blank page! It's been lovely scrolling through your sketchbooks with you, Natasha!!! I enjoyed every sketch and swatch! 💗 Thank you for sharing them along with your thoughts!!! 💗💗💗
I'm not scared of the blank page after watching your very nice work coming over the interwebs to us! You've made me want to take sketchbooks on my triip next week...let's see if I can enjoy myself as much as you do! Many thanks for your channel!
Don’t be scared of the blank page. I very much enjoyed seeing your sketchbooks. I think the three birds in the tree would be wonderful on a canvas and I imagine it would sell quickly. Thank you for the video.
Love this sketchbook tour! 💖Thank you for touching on the fears of making sketchbooks perfect & learning to be less precious with them… something I’ve definitely struggled with. Also ADORE the painting at 13:00!! The more loose quality to me allows more movement and life to the scene, bringing in some of the wildness of nature into the painting… it's so interesting and compelling to look at 😍
Lovely tour, I enjoy seeing real sketchbooks more than those perfect ones. It used to bother me when I messed up a sketch or had a page with random swatches, but I’ve decided to be chill about it. Not always easy, but it’s a fair reflection of me that day probably. Don’t be scared of the blank page ❤
Don’t be scared of the blank page. ❤ thank you for sharing. I remember watching the video where you were quite apprehensive about working in your sketchbook. I’m so glad that you are willing to share your work. It’s so lovely.
Hello Natasha, I enjoyed your sketchbook tour so much. I love the different colours that you use. Your little houses are looking so cosy:)). I love the background colour and the tree in the sketchbook where you cut out a piece. That's a good idea to paint something on the next page. The sleeping fox looks so cute! I am very pleased that you are making videos with Kriksis:). I met Kriksis and Mel last year at your exhibition in Coverack. It was so nice to meet the two lovely women in person:). Too bad you weren't there. I'm looking forward to a new long relaxed video from you. Don't be scared of the blank page! Take care and mindful with yourself. Have a nice week. Gabi:)
Don't be scared of the blank page. What a gorgeous sketchbooks you have. I love your way of filling them. I still have to start in a few new sketchbooks...so yeah...I am a little scared of the blank page, but even more of ruin it.
Don’t be scared of the blank page ! I have so enjoyed your sketchbook tour , calming and inspiring ! It’s left me feeling energised & optimistic.Perfect viewing for this rainy day. I look forward to another of your sketchbook tours. I’d love to see one where you only use your deepdeep light palette, that would be brilliant too.😊
Thanks so much, Wendy! I know we've spoken about this, but I've actually chosen a sketchbook for the Deep Deep Light project now - it's a pale grey watercolour paper sketchbook, which I think will be beautiful with those particular paints! Great idea, thank you. :)
Don’t be scared of the blank page. Thanks, that was a very interesting tour of your sketchbooks. I admire your very distinctive style and colour palettes, also that you use mixed media to achieve your desired effect. 😊
Don’t be scared of the blank page. I find your channel so inspiring! I am currently trying to get out of my comfort zone and improve my skills by making “moody landscapes and automnal landscapes…” using the 16 luminance limited colour palette of one of your older videos.
Don’t be scared of a blank page! Fascinating tour of your sketchbooks, really happy to find that I am not alone in my case using acrylics to paint over drawings or paintings that went wrong and I couldn’t bear looking at. Also reviewing my sketchbooks, I noticed that occasionally I had painted on some of the pages upside down, I now mark the front cover to prompt me. Really enjoyed your video, thank you for sharing.
